Best for GS- Economy

for Economy not as optionals for Civil services this book is best.
Other books take u to other level of the course - probably PhD or something which is not needed for GS .
This book has covered all the portions needed and is sufficient .
one can go for Dutt and Sundaram or Mishra&Puri if Economy as optionals have been taken.

Taking off 1 star for No MCQ's in the whole book.

Concept wise - 5/5
explanation - 5/5
Printing and appearance - 5/5
MCQ's - 0/5
Syllabus coverage - 5/5

VAST BUT NOT DEEP

This covers almost the entire spectrum of topics, but lacks depth and subtlety. In many places the explanations were casual and redundant.

But good as a reference book, especially helps one know of the important topics. Should be supplemented by a more comprehensive book.

Mentions the topic but does not explain

Pros: this book mentions almost all the relevant topics in the field of economy especially for civil services exam.
Cons: does not explain the topic in , as claimed " lucid manner". It is mere copy and pasting of some e-sources available on the net into the book without even the thought of giving any connection to previous text. ( i have myself verified this).
Besides numerous typos, grammatical errors, one can find repetition (same text written twice in some topics).
If u glance through forward of the book, author himself has written that this book was printed in record time show...

Verdict: one can buy the book and search the topic on internet mentioned in the book.
