It reflects, in brief, most of the prominent Indian Muslim related organisations and issues, which are linked with the Islamic revival movement. The author has tried to compile all the prominent issues that have a bearing on the communal conflict in the country.


Ramashray Upadhyay served a long stint as an officer with the Intelligence Bureau. Be it at Naxal Bari in West Bengal during the Naxalite Movement in the closing years of 1960s or at the Indo-Bangladesh border in the northeastern part of India during the Indo-Pak War of 1971, or Hindu-Muslim communal tensions in Bihar, he was always at the cutting edge. These exposures enriched his experience of ground reality, concerning socio-pilitical development. In recognition of his merit, the Government of India awarded him the Sangram Medal and the Indian Police Medal.
