I have used a variety of Intel and AMD processors at various price points, but the G620 has been the best value for money till date. The processor is absolutely at par with the entry level i3 processor and has plenty enough power for various tasks like media center, light gaming, browsing and photo editing. Video editing and re-encoding videos struggles a little.

One of the best things about it is how cool the CPU runs. Hardly gets hot, so your CPU fan can run really slow and thus reduce noise, ideal for media centers. In fact, the procssor seems to ship with a low profile CPU cooler, I got low profile coolers both time I ordered this CPU on flipkart.

For 3.5k, you cannot go wrong with this processor. Get a basic motherboard like G61, accessories and put in a good SSD drive as your boot device, you have a screaming machine for less than 20k.

You can do any high level task such as video converting,gaming,
CAD etc - all you have to do is add a Medium or a High end Graphics Card.(Nvidia GTX series would be the best)

If you just want to build a Home Theater system then,you don't even need a graphics card.

Best budget motherboard combination would be - Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2H Motherboard.

This combo has the best price to performance ratio.

Purchased the product after reading reviews about the product in flipkart..special thanks to Kumar Swamy who has given clear description of the product and good configuration for a budget PC.I purchased this as part of upgrading my old desktop PC within a overall budget of 10k. This 2.6Ghz processor works fantastic for normal computing and is good alternative for i3 processor. My need was a PC for normal Internet browsing, some gaming, movies and songs.. more so for family members. It did not disappoint me and am happy to be using it. Recommended for all looking for a budget PC.

I was tempted to buy this processor for the performance it gives.
But ended up buying AMD A6-3500 because it has powerful GPU than G620. But If you want to play games and already own a graphics card then this is the best processor you can have for this price.

CPU Benchmark - Score -2470
It beats AMD Phenom 9450e Quad-Core and match up with Intel I-5 540M.
Only drawback is that it does not support HT, Turbo boost
But if it performs this well, there is no need of HT or turbo boost!!!
Go for it if you want to make an HTPC. You won't regret it!!
