Intel 3.1 GHz LGA 1155 Core i3-2100 Processor

i3 2100 is the best processor for a budget gaming pc!!
even the benchmarks of many reviewing sites have proved it to be very effective for gaming!!
it has beatdown the faled bulldozer fx 4100 vewry easily!! even the overclocked amd phenom II 965 @ 4.0< just stands near to this 3.1 ghz processor!! and in most of the games core i3 2100 clearly takes the lead on the other 2!!
its simply because of the core i3 better and effective architecture!!
go for it if u r on a tight budget!!
and going for a i3 is always better!! as u can upgrade it later to any i5 or i7 when their prices goes down in future!!
so go for it!! and one last thing intel has launched many i3 processor like 2120, 2125, 2130 ,2110!!! all are better than 2100 and even core i3 2125 comes with a intel hd3000 graphicas, which is only availabe with more costly i5 and i7 processors!! though its not available on flipkart right now!! but try to find one in the stores near u!! it will be really worth upgrade!! as it is said that hd 3000 just gives the same performance as of a radeon hd 5450 gpu!! so find it and go for it!! it will also serve ur gaming purpose!! if u dont hav money to buy a new gpu right now!!

This is a great processor, beats the AMD Buldozer i.e 4-core varient, and is better than any dual core and some quad core AMD CPU .This guy comes with Integrated graphics i.e.HD2000 which gives a score of 4.8 out of 7.9 on WEI(Windows experience Index). There are many other processors in the core i3(2nd gen) family.core i-3 2105 which runs @ 3.1Ghz comes with HD3000 graphics which gives 6.8 out of 7.9 on WEI .Similar processor core i3 2125 which runs at 3.3Ghz also missing.There are two more processors with less power consumption(35W) for HTPC's are also missing hope they come soon....

I decided to build an entry level PC myself. Since price was my major concern, I decided to go with the Core i3 2100. This intel processor is enough to handle everyday's tasks very well, good for HTPC users and can also be used for some casual gaming. This is a sure take away for those who want best bang for their buck.
I am surely not going to live with my current PC configuration for long, but then I required some time to gather enough money for that premium hardware/parts for my PC.

I paired this up with the MSI Cyclone 6850 and friends, it blows away every game I throw at it.
BF3 @ 1080p, Ultra settings gives 30-35 FPS. Most others haven't dropped below 60 at all!
Budget gamers, I seriously recommend you to buy this card.
Also CPU intensive tasks like encryption/decryption, zipping/unzipping, loading times, etc have drastically improved.
Trust me you won't be let down by this CPU!

Intel i3 2100 though being an entry level CPU in the LGA 1155 socket family , delivers more than a decent performance at this price. Beats most of its AMD counterpart with ease.

Good for entry level gaming and HTPC. Low power consumption , low temperature and great compute performance makes this a must buy for building a budget PC.
