Intel 3.3 GHz LGA1155 Core i5-2500K Processor

The i5-2500k is the processor you should look for if you are into serious gaming . This processor comes with its core multiplier unlocked which means that you can overclock this beast to like 4 -- 4.5 Ghz easily by pairing it with an aftermarket cooler or better the corsair water cooler .

In most of the benchmarks comparing it with the amd phenoms like the Phenom 2 X6 1100T black edition which is almost on the same price range the i5 emerges as the clear winner .

if you dont multitask a lot along with playing games you can go for the i5 2500k if you multitask a lot then go for i7 2600k but
you will have to spend another 4 to 5 thousand .

All in all i5 2500k provides the best bang for the buck for the serious gamers (PS : Pair it with a good affordable graphics card like gtx 560ti or gtx 570 )

Good processor with an unlocked multiplier. Almost makes the core i7 2600 pointless but for a few. For Gaming Build combine with an Biostar tz68k also available on flipkart and 8GB of dual channel ram, with a good graphics card like AMD HD6850 or GTX460 and corsair cx430 SMPS. If u want to have flexibility of future upgrades then combine with ASUS P8p67-m-pro or asus maximus IV gene-z or asus p8z68v motherboard along with a good SMPS like corsair TX650. This will provide u the ablity of adding another graphics card for crossfire or sli in future and u can game for another 3-4 years without need of a brand new build. Also get a good chassis like CM690 or antec 300 if u plan for a graphics card to keep things cool.

I used this for last two months i bought it from flipkart it works fine it works as well as i expected. its too good for gamers, video editing, video converting also multitasking. I personally work like DVD burning, windows media player playing for listening music converting video by converting software(format factory) all at a time it works very smoothly and very fast. Its turbo-boost technology is very good, i found in CPUZ that clock speed 3.4,3.5 maximum i got 3.67Ghz speed almost all time.

This processor is a beast in itself. If you are planning to do video editing and software rendering go for the i7 Sandy Bridge.Even in that you would see only a marginal increase in performance about 10%. But for the rest this PC packs the punch. It offers exceptional performance for the value and clearly equals I7 in any games.The best processor out there at the moment. I reckon Ivy bridge to be too costly and thus this one can serve for the next 3 yrs well.Go for it

extraordinary performance in overclocking, i tamed the beast to 4.2 without water cooling i am still using an old complete copper cooler (cooler master hyper 48) cpu cooler....
quite stable and optimum performance for most of the demanding titles (games) out there though i purchased it from the Nehru palace it market
it costed me a bit less than the offer at flip kart....
it you want a gaming CPU don't give a second thought at any other option from intel or AMD camp go for it guys.. remember you will never regret....
Though the intel 3rd gen is out but if you compare it with 3rd gen it would be still be a better choice over them you can get these babies at a little less price pair with a Z68 MB and untame it... the extra cash around 5k can be adjusted towards getting a better GPU like nvidia GTX660 around 21k....
remember this configuration will bang off your brains....
