Intel 3.5 GHz LGA1155 Core i7 3770K Processor

I purchased i7 3770k from local shop since it was not available at flipkart. Have used it for 3 days since 26th May 2012.
Currently i have not overclocked it. So, running at 3.5 GHz speed with stock fan. Have plans for overclocking as soon as i buy Corsair H100.

These are the results i got by running at stock speed with stock fan.
Idle temperature: 34 - 38 degree Celcius.
Load temperature: 82 - 86 degree Celcius.

CPU: 7.7
Intel HD 4000: 6.5

Regarding Intel HD 4000, you can run almost all the latest games with it. Ofcourse under low - medium settings. I tried COD Black Ops and NFS The Run. Both worked without any problem, recommended to run them under 1366 X 768 and below resolution for higher fps.

If updating review option is available, I'll update once I install Corsair H100 to my rig.

Pros: - it is very Easy to overclock
- It has Native USB 3.0 support
- It has Native Sata III support
- It has Native PCI-E 3.0 support
- This got Lower TDP ratings
- It has 3D transistors

Cons: - only 1 cons about this product its temp is higher then sandy bridge.

other thought - after using cooler master hyper 212 cooler i realize using stock fan provided by intel is not keep it cool but hyper 212 evo does..and Don't let the higher temps shy you away from this product. Ivy Bridge is more resilient to heat than previous generations and we're not used to seeing these numbers. Keep it below 90C and below 1.5v and you are good to go.....

if you already have a k series i5 or i7 then I feel you are wasting your money.stick wid your old processor but for sandy bridger it is a must have upgrade for building a fresh high end system.
overall its a great processor.

If you're planning to build a "gaming rig": go for an intel i5 3570k + a decent 2GB DDR5 GPU, with 8-16 GB 1600Mhz RAM. You probably won't even need the muscle of a 3570k in most cases - even an AMD 6/8-core junk will do. You don't need to read the rest of this review.

Go for the 3770k if you need some really serious computational power at a bargain price. Like, for example, serious signal processing (imagine recording a live 4/4 at hi-def with real-time effects into a 20-track mix including the latest VSTs), serious video/image editing, kernel compilations and so on...

For 'proof', just refer to AnandTech's Cinebench 11.5 benchmark (3770k scores 31% higher than 3570k) or Reyniersaudio's DAW comparison (3770k scores 34% higher than 3570k). OC only increases the differentials here, and needless to add moderate OCs are deliciously stable.

For roughly 30% extra in terms of price, is it worth it, you ask? Well, definitely YES, for that 30% odd makes the difference between the masterpiece and the "could-have-been-better" - because the 3770k almost whispers into your ears: "focus on your work, buddy - I'll take care of everything else." For work that needs focus, of course :) There's a reason it's the most recommended processor by the techs at Roland and Avid.

And yes, I say it's a bargain price 'cause when you perform a differential cost-to-benefit analysis with the higher-end i7s with an LGA 2011 socket along with the motherboards (3770k has an LGA 1155 socket and would run on a z77), it does really look like a bargain!

Highly recommended for tech-savvy home-studio enthusiasts who can't yet afford a Dual Xeon workstation :)

This is the fastest processor and it is also extremely power efficient...needing only a max of 77 watts. It is very good for overclocking and could comfortably cross 4.5 GHz provided you have a proper cooling system. I will buy is as soon as the provide the price and it comes into stock.

I ordered i5 3570K.....but due to some reasons flipkart cancelled my order....thn I bought i7 3770K from a local shop at 1500 rs. less..as the i5 was not available there...what a good co incidence......it's been quite a few days I have been using this...and believe me it's awesome...during regular usage u cannot tell the difference between an i5 and i7..but while compressing(winrar) and video editing....the prce difference shows up....many people complain of high temp. but my idle temp is 26-29 C, 35-38 C while gaming crysis 2 and far cry.. nfs 2012....gonna overclock it when I get my antec khuler 920...this is a good processor, futureproof once the ati radeaon 8000 series graphics card launches......pair it with Z77 moterboard with 8 GB Ram...
