Awesome Processor Go for it!
this processor is awesum game debate gave it a 7 star rating and all high end games like tomb raider 2013 runs fine on ultra settings with 2GB ram I would highly appreciate its performance at this price and by the way its a third generation believe me i have compared it with i3-M530 2.9GHz and i3 is 10% less proportionately to G2010...so go4it...

Awesome product from Flipkart
This product is awesome.
Better than lga 775 pentinum processors.
It works better than intel core 2 deo (lga 775).
Runs most of the games better than core 2 deo and pentinum processors(lga 775).

Best Intel Processor (Marketed for cheapskates)
New 4th generation Haswell processors launched already. This is cheap Ivy Bridge
dual core with Hyper Threading disabled. Coming back, obviously i5 and i7 launched ...for Haswell pentium wait for next year by the time they launch their next 5th generation processor.
But this is very powerful despite being cheap. All modern games run at medium to high settings with Sapphire Radeon 7750 card. So overall pretty okay ...
I wouldn't have got these stuff in Patna. So thank you all.

This is nothing but an older core i3 processor, with hyperthreading disabled..!!
Reason for buying this...
Previously i owned an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+(worked 6 yrs without any problem) , but this time i decided to go for an intel cpu.

Superb value for Money
I have used a variety of Intel and AMD processors at various price points, but the Pentium G2xxx has been the best value for money till date. The processor is absolutely at par with the entry level i3 processor and has plenty enough power for various tasks like media center, light gaming, browsing and photo editing. Video editing and re-encoding videos struggle a little.

Processor is good in this price range.
Anyway Don't go by SOMIRAN's review, he is comparing this proccy to FX4100, which itself is in the range of I3 processors, and any I3 will eat the FX series any time for performance. AMD did have an advantage earlier price wise, but not in this range for time being. I have used AMD athlon/intelQ6600 earlier, and this processor work better then older gen quad cores. Good for casual/regular gaming if coupled with medium range Gfx card.

This processor is excellent. Got it today. It gave me a Windows Experience Index rating of 6.8. Earlier using my dual core(LGA 775 socket), I could get on 22-25 fps on playing GTA4. Now that's 55 fps on an average!!! Now that's awesome! I'm currently using it with a 4GB DDR3 RAM. Don't hesitate, just go for it! You won't have to regret on buying it!

Slower for compiling and high-end apps ?
I run my VS and some other big software on my computer. Some of them work fine but not great. You should go with I3 or I5 if you want better performance.

I have buyed this CPU for my new custom gaming PC. However the word gaming seems irregular in this statement coz this doesnt suppot many graphics card as compared with i3 ivy bridge. However I paired this with intel dh61ho motherboard corsair 8 gb ram Sapphire AMD HD 6570 1 GB graphics card and corsair 550w PSU. This configuration seems to be excellent for many games. BEST cpu , no need of graphic card after use it.....
i use this cpu from last 2 months....and it is quite decent...it has internal graphic card......the big heavy game run smoothly like Battle field ......the video quality enhanced after this.....after all it is best......GUI is enhanced....
although flipkart shipped it in alwar very late but i am happy because i won 50% cashback on this processor
