Best entry & mid level proc to go for

I haven't bought this proc & don't need this as i am using Intel Xeon proc :) but have gone through the tech specs of this proc and found it awesome.
A smart upgrade for entry level and mid-level users and gamers.
Some features i would like to focus on are like:
1) It's an LGA1155 Socket which is affordable against the obsolete LGA775 platform.
2) Supports Intel HD Graphics 2500 Integrated graphics.
3) Supports memory upto 1600Mhz.
4) MOST IMP factor this proc supports HyperThreading which takes it's performance
almost like a Quad Core proc Without HT.
The only diff is that this pro...

Best proc for day-to-day computing.
I would Highly recommend this proc for entry-level and mid-level users & gamers too

It's all right

I didn't buy mine from FK, got it long before it appeared here.

It uses about 8-10W when not using the IGP. I don't, so keep that in mind. I run a very basic Radeon HD6450, so that I can get 2560x on the desktop. Intel has no excuse for not having support for more than 1920x in 2013-14.

Runs cool enough, but the stock cooler is noisy. I got a Deepcool aftermarket unit (one of the quietest on Frostytech) from FK to keep the racket down. That helped.

Crumbles when being used as an audio machine. Not more than 8 tracks with full effects. Latency is terrible, never below 100uS. The motherboa...

Crumbles when being used as an audio machine. Not more than 8 tracks with full effects. Latency is terrible, never below 100uS. The motherboard is a Gigabyte B75, which could be the culprit. Probably is. Also extremely slow with Gimp and OpenOffice. PS and MSOffice will be an order of magnitude slower.

I guess you can't ask for too much at the price, but the few niggles are a pain. You can get around all of them, but only by spending more money.

If all you do is potter around the web, some gaming, and general domestic use on a 1920x monitor, this would be all you need. I don't, and it isn't. Definitely needs a few more real cores and a quieter fan. Support for higher resolutions would be good too. Power and thermals are excellent, but that's about it.

GO for it not for i3 4130, it is only iGP improvement

I think the title says it all it is at best 5% better than i3 3220 ,yeah but the Integrated GPU has been improved bey 20-25% if you're gonna buy a pcie gpu (NVIDIA/AMD) then there is no wayyou should go for it, if you want to use IGP go with AMD 5800k or 6800k they are beasts compared to i3(any gen)... 6 months ago I build a CPU i3 3220, GTX 650 Ti boost (just 5-10% slower than 660 which is priced at 4-5k higher, there is no AMD card 10,000-20,000 even worth mwnthioning right now),GA-B75-D3H mobo,etc.. It is extremely good, I would've gone with FX6300 but at that tume it wasn't available --... ()

Quick sync

This is the best cpu for beginners, it costs less than that of entry level sandybridge i3, this cpu gives you huge performance for day to day computing and gaming.
This cpu has a intel hd 2500 graphics, you can play some hd games such as NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 and similar games.
Buy it before the price hikes.

I don't recommend it.

You can get a AMD FX-6300 6 core processor at the same price, which I found was better than this i3 processor. And it literally beats the i3 and i5 !! (View complete review)
