Very few works address the potentialbearing of IPRs on global politics, economics, culture, industrial development, etc. This is due to the belief that the study of IPRs belongs to the exclusivedomain of techno-legal studies. But the truth is that unless there is aconvergence of efforts and ideas of technocrats, legal experts, socialscientists, economists, politicians, etc., the issues is unlikely to be maturedfrom its present fluid status. Hence this book is a modest attempt to provide anrealistic platform for further focused study of the sub issues involved with theIPRs.
