Invest the Happionaire way-ENGLISH

I must admit I was skeptical when purchasing this book. Couple of reviews here at Flipkart weren't recommending the book, and to top it I had no idea about the stock markets.

This book, IMO, is intended for the following population:

1. People who have no idea about the stock markets, how they work, how markets create wealth, how someone can get rich in the stock market, what are the risks / advantages, how to get started, etc.

2. People who fear the stock markets because they believe it's risky.

3. People who are looking to broaden their perspective when it comes to various investments - Fixed deposits, real estate, gold, commodities, mutual funds, equities, etc.

4. People who have issues with money management (spendthrifts) and those who harbour erroneous beliefs about money (money is evil, money is hard to earn, etc.).

5. People who think it takes a lot of money to get started.

The book is less than 100 pages, and you can finish it under 4 hours (including underlining, taking notes, etc.). It's a fast read and avoids jargon.

If you're a newcomer to the field of stock investing, this book is a must read. It will change the way you think about money and this, IMO, is the most important skill a person can develop.

Some of the readers have complained that this book is expensive for 100 pages. Hello?! A pizza costs more than this book! And a pizza has only 6 slices all of which will disappear within 15 minutes. The wisdom in this book is priceless and will STAY with you for a LIFETIME. There is tremendous power in knowledge - this is one of the first lessons you will learn from this book. In fact, I am very glad that this book has less than 100 pages, because I can read the book once every month to refresh my understanding.
The book will tell you what is needed to begin trading / investing. Importantly, it will tell you WHY you need to start investing in the stock market and also HOW to do it. It is incorrect to say that this book doesn't teach the HOW (as one of the other reviewers has stated). It touches the concept of value investing, long term planning, why you should be curious, how to educate yourself and how to benefit from the information all around you, etc. It does not touch any topic that is not relevant for the beginner. More information will create confusion and as research has proven, will delay the start of the project.
The book is motivational in nature and is fun to read. Both elements are important to a beginner, as it takes the mystery out of investing. One can always go on to advanced material after some time, but for a beginner, I doubt there is a better book on Investing.
Do yourself a favour and read this book - especially if you want to create real wealth and benefit from India's growth story. If you think the book is expensive, you need the book more than anyone else.

I happened to have discovered the writings of Yogesh ji almost 4 years back and since then he has had a very powerful impact on the life of me and my family. Invest The Happionaire Way is the story of a young boy who had no money but used the power of knowedlge to create something and become a success. I got inspired too and invested since then and have created good returns, but more than the the Happionaire philopshy has helped me and my loved one be happy, smile and lead a beautiful life.

I am also glad that a paperback edition has been removed - I own both the paper back and hardcover. Start reading this book now to realize how wonderful life is and all the opportunitties it gives us. After this it is also a must read Cash The Crash and Happionaire's Money Game!

I have read many books of investing and according to me most of the topics the author discusses has already been covered by many books. For newbies, the author has explained the concepts for very good and simple examples.

The book could help if one is new to investing and does not have the basic understanding of the Indian Financial Markets. I was not expecting step by step guide which tells how to identify a stock, buy it at the right price(low) and sell it a high price. However, for a person who has fairly moderate knowledge about investing, this book is a real disappointment.

I certainly do not agree with the other reviews which recommend the book to all the category of investors.

I found this book not worth all the hype it is being given... it does not really educate a user about investment strategies as such and is just a potpourri of various motivational books an famous quotes... it does not guide the user on any investment strategies n all...Yogesh might b a a gr8 entrepreneur but fails as an author...an add to that the prohibitive cost for such a small book which u dont even realize where it started n ended makes it a total loss of effort:((

The book was a major disappointment. I wasn't exactly expecting a shortcut to success but atleast an idea of what he did and what is his famed "happionaire way". Sadly, i was disappointed. The book merely tells you to make wise investment decisions, invest well and smile.
My advice would be to tell you to read Rich Dad Poor Dad instead. Atleast Robert Kiyosaki's book makes for an interesting read as he presents his viewpoints.
