Yet another excellent book for learning intricate aspects of Java

This book is from the same author who wrote the award winning book- Effective Java. So this should be a good enough reason to get hold of the book.

A lot of intricate aspects in Java language have been explained by means of puzzles. This can be a very useful book both interviewee and the interviewer.

Flipkart has forgotten their primary business BOOKS!!!

Have you guys forgotten your primary business of selling books. Neither I am able to purchase this one nor Effective Java.
Guys don't just ignore your roots, it might cost you in long run.

PS: I have read it and its a great book, but its only for those who are a bit comfortable with Core java concepts and are trying to test their knowledge. 4 stars for the book. (Negative points for Flipkart on ignoring availability of Indian Editions for important and popular books like this, Effective Jav...

Must read for java fans.

Quite an awesome book. But I don't recommend it to a java beginner or someone new to programming. This book is intended for those who have done quite a bit of programming, and want to explore the depths of java. It contains lots of examples explaining various 'traps' in java. The saying "There is more to it than it meets the eye." is true considering the examples in this book.

I'll be damned

..........Very surprising....
..........Shocking
..........Confusing..
..........difficult to fathom the feeling of being lost...
it may be due to the fact that, I am just beginner into this "Java" stuff.
this book could be really HI FI which i am not able to understand and this may not be for beginners....unfortunately there are not many books available on site which provide quiz or questionnaire in precise and concise manner.

I would not recommend the book. [for whom ? : Novice,Naive,New/...

Must read book for every Java programmer

This book is very puzzling one. Even a very well experienced Java programmer might get these questions wrong at the first sight. The detailed analysis and explanation of every problem and its output behavior is simply great. Every question is a perplexing and gives food for thought. Enhances the knowledge of the reader and makes one be very carefull when developing with Java and the extra care that needs to be taken. Sincere appreciation for every one involved in creation of this book.

NOT WORTH

WHY?

Here are the Reasons :
To reader ,

// Mistakes,printing mistakes,human errors or otherwise.
// Wrong examples.
// During engineering time we as student made to learn A LOT in less than SIX months time.
What happens ? An engineer knows.
// Same with the (this)book. I mean seriously, what the heck.
// there are syntax and semantics error
// many of the snippet codes won't work without modifications of your own.
// I am asking question : Are you going to study from this book or you wi...
