About Sri M

Sri M is a spiritual teacher from India.

His written works include books such as Wisdom of the Rishis: The Three Upanishads, Ishavasya, Kena, Mandukya, and Jewel In the Lotus: Deeper Aspects of Hinduism.

Sri M was born as  Mumtaz Ali Khan on November 6, 1948 in Trivandrum, Kerala. Acting upon an inexplicable and persistent urge to travel to the Himalayas, he left home at the young age of nineteen. He spent the next three years wandering across the Himalayas, learning about life and spirituality from his guru, Maheshwarnath Babaji. As instructed by his teacher, he subsequently returned home and prepared himself to embark on a lifelong journey of spirituality and teaching. Sri M now travels across the world sharing his experiences and knowledge with people from all religions. Leading a life of simplicity and spiritual richness, he heads the Satsang Foundation, which promotes excellence in education. Sri M lives in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh with his wife and two children.
