just great

Well, I am an Indian. Thanks Mr Jaswant Singh for calling spade a spade. Its true how little we know about our own country and its history. Your book was like a teacher and me a student, reading each page with reverence. Good job done. As an Indian lets realize that we also need to stand for truth. Mr Jaswant Singh, you have spoken truth. Kodos

Jinnah

Reading the book finally niether revealed that he was a bad person nor he was a good person.......I respect all the patriots who let their lives to death for the independance....what i mean to say that at that time they(Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel )thought that they were right,....Because intentionally no one wants to do the bad thing.........what they did at that time it was good...i respect them for what they did as well...Moreover i appretiate Mr. Jaswant Singh for the beautiful account of Muhammed Ali Jinnah....Congrats.....It is just an unputdownable.....Just awesome

u have done a very great job

To:Jaswant Singh

first of all CONGRATULATIONS to you for writing such a wonderful book.Truth is sour but truth is exactly the truth no body can change it and only brave can face and talk about it.First of all great thanks for u and hats off to you.u have did a very great job by writing this book.Hope this piece of writing will work as start of new era of Indo_pak relationship.I dont think to unite india & pak is feasible because of their deeds done to India. But to bring piece & expel hatred between common people of both nations is necessary & I thing this book will surely help to hepl to overcome the above problem.THANKS ONCE AGAIN.

Terribly written

This book is embarassing. A leader of Jaswant Singh's level should know how to construct a sentence.

You are forgetting the role of British

Jaswant Singh you are great in telling the truth.
What about British role, no movemnt gets independence in 7 years struggle...resolution for Pakistan is passed in 1940 at Lahore, and India is left divided in 1947. Look around how many independence movements are going on since decades...with out any result. British wanted India to be truncated..don't forget... in addition to Gandhi and Nehru's failure to accomodate Jinnah.
Another blunder of Nehru, not able to solve the problem of Kashnir in early days...both the countries are bleeding to attrition because of this folly.

If there would have been nation wide referendum in undivided India for truncating this great land, I beleive majority of Muslims would have voted against the vivsection of India. Partion of India was forced upon Indians by British.
