Not for NET, rather its an introductory textbook.
Although it covers whole of the syllabus and is the 1st book on this subject, its impossible to read this book and go and answer even 2 questions in the exam. This book is rather good as an introductory book on Earth/atm/ocean/climate science(the best one there!!!). The author should rather relabel it, take permissions n sell it as a textbook.

Good quality product
Overall it is a good book to study. No other book is available online like this. So it is betrer to start with this. This book will surely give an overall idea about Earth Science for CSIR NET exam. But you have to study more in details ( I think ) . Many of youtube videos will also help you. More question sets and Previous year's question should be included.

First thing, it does not cover all the topics toward the end.
Its more like direct notes, without any explanation, so you don't get any concept.
Pros: - thought to be first of its kind for earth science (actually that's why I bought it)
- its more like quick checking syllabus (that also missing toward end)
Cons: - not enough for preparations
- not conceptual
- does not cover all topics from ocean sciences and meteorology
- not enough objecti...
