The Journey From Loss

William, Crystal, and Ujean Ericson know the story of their great-great-great grandfather by heart; their grandpa tells it to them every time they visit. Returning home after this visit, the Ericsons find their home in ruins. Worst of all they cannot find their mother. Leaving their home they venture out into the world searching for their mother, but do not know who did this or why. They are with their grandpa and a mysterious girl named Jazabell, who knows a little too much about them and points them in the right direction. Along the way they meet even more interesting characters who help them on their travels, but none of the Ericsons could have imagined the adventures they would have: hang gliding off a mountain over a frozen lake, visiting a city that lies underground, and visiting a city that shines during the day or night on their journey from Loss.
