The JSB Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is ergonomically designed to fit around your finger comfortably without causing any pain from long term use. The display lets you read the results from any side as it has a 4 Directional Rotatable Display mechanism. The oxygen saturation level and the pulse rate are the 2 main readings shown on the display screen. Depending on its usage it can be easily carried around in a soft carry case or it could be hung around your neck by using the neck hanging rope.
To make the JSB Fingertip Pulse Oximeter more user-friendly it is designed to lightweight and portable so that it can be easily carried to location of the emergency. This lightweight design also makes it easy on the patient or elderly family member to bear the weight of this small device if it needs to be constantly attached to them.
Performance
The JSB Fingertip Pulse Oximeter utilises a pair of small light-emitting diodes to create light of 2 different wavelengths, which when passed through a translucent part of a patient’s body registers information on the photodiode. These wavelengths have significant difference in their absorption rate when it comes to oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin. This difference is used to calculate the ratio of the absorption of red and infrared light, which in turn gives an accurate reading for the oxygen absorption level.
The Visual Alarm of the JSB Pulse Oximeter helps to alert the user in case of any unexpected issues. To work this Oximeter requires 2 AAA batteries which should last a while due to the low power consumption of this device. The JSB Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is especially useful in homes with senior family members and patients with respiratory or cardiac problems. It is also useful for athletes and mountain climbers who need to constantly check their fitness level and ability to absorb oxygen during training.
