Sumrit Shahi explores the relationship between two teenagers who can't live without each other yet deny being in love. So, what happens next? Do they really fall in love or just remain best friends?

Summary of Just Friends

Just Friends is a tale that takes readers through the blooming bond between two teenagers, who discuss everything ranging from PlayStations to periods. They practically live each other's lives, share conversations that span everything under the earth and try the craziest of things together.

Will cupid strike when the time is right, or will they remain friends forever?

Mere NON-sense (TIME-PASS NOVEL) Better DON"T BUY this...

Only the Blurb seems to be nice. This is the tactics being followed by writers nowadays to market their products. My friend read the Blurb and he told me to order this book and he said it seems to be a interesting one. so, i ordered and i read it. This author tried to follow CHETAN BHAGATH, but miserably fails. I don't admire Chetan Bjagath either. This is nothing but a time pass-novel. Its written on the front page as National Best-seller. I realize the secret behind this Best-seller.

There is a Proverb.
Wise men speaks, Because HE HAS SOMETHING TO SPEAK,
Fool also speaks, Because HE HAS TO SPEAK SOMETHING.

This Author wrote this novel, because he wants to write some non-sense. This novel is full of stupid chit-chats and good for nothing situations and dialogues. Its nothing but a Non-sense Novel.

Better DON'T BUY this...

Synopsis is the only good thing!

The synopsis is very interesting and spicy..will makes u pick this book up. the write up is excellent and true since we all have such a friend in our life..

however, when u finally (yes, FINALLY) finish the book, u will feel like trashing it out (like me) on flipkart's review option.

Half baked plot.. 2 stories juxtaposed with each other with no relation whatsoever.

Conceptually, the book plot is good. however, the writing style isnt great and i felt boy's version was HIGHLY underBAKED !

Waste of time to read this ! good effort by author at age 17 to pen a novel..

hope this review helps!

Sumrit's second book is out: A Lot Like Love

EXCERPTS:

So...love...eh??

Love. A pristine feeling. It’s the freshness of morning dew – fragile yet beautiful. It’s like an iPod with your favourite playlist on repeat mode. It’s like a painter’s first stroke – vulnerable, unsure yet intense. It is the uncertainty of the Indian monsoon. It is like the thrill of having a burf ka gola on a chilly December night. It is as unpredictable as the stock market. It is as dependable as your LIC life insurance. It is as sweet and crooked as a deep-fried jalebi. It is noisier than the Delhi traffic, quieter than the sea at night. It is more demanding than your Board exams, more challenging than the AIEEE or the CAT. It can get dirtier than a teenager’s bedroom. It can be as painful as the first period. It is whiter than pearls, more twisted than a salon-returned girl’s curls. It gives a glow, shinier than bleach. It’s naughtier than a boy and girl together on a secluded beach. It is more addictive than coffee, crispier than KFC, deadlier than an LSD trip. It’s the nervousness of the first kiss, the tension of a period miss, the pressure of parental piss.

A lot like love, happened to them…just when they met a year ago…

SUCKS!

The synopsis sounds reeeallly good, but the book is just the opposite, trust me. It has no story at all and is totally pointless. I felt like killing someone after reading it (preferably the author). A waste of money.

A must read for all teenagers battling the ever present question "Is it possible to have a best friend of the opposite sex''.
The witty humor, correct use of language and extremely realistic situations makes it rather pleasurable to read this book.
Almost every teenager in the world can relate their life situations to certain instances in this book.
It is a very splendid effort by such a 17 year old. Hats off to the author for attempting to create a bond with the readers and succeeding in it.
