    Don't waste your time...........

Its not actually what you are thinking that is the truth. In fact, this book is excellent. Each of the stories are equally brilliant. Few are such anthologies as vibrant and absorbing as this book. I would recommend you this book if you do not grudge upon its expense because it has large font and about 250 pages and they mark the price it at is 299.

Above all, this is definitely not the book to dispose off after reading it once. You would be attracted to it even after you have read all the s...

    Great Anthology

I have purchased both the volumes of this Anthology, and haven't regretted about the decision. The book has some piece of brilliant stories in it, including authors like Ruskin Bond, Amrita Pritham, Ismat Chugtai, Mulk-Raj Anand etc and some not-so-known authors. The collection of stories included is excellent and I think Khushwant ji has done a great job of sorting out the wheat from the husk.

The stories are quite absorbing and you will definitely read it many times over and recommend to ...

    Indian touch

The book has lots of short stories some of them are pretty good and some of them are boring. The stories depicts the real world not some fairy tale or something else. The endings can be harsh and rude but that's what truth is all about.
Its good for reading in small intervals as all stories are not interrelated.
Overall experience is nice but as the stories are written by other writers so dont expect Kushwant singh's touch.
