K7 Total Security 1 PC 1 Year

I have downloaded the Trial Version and tested it before placing an order with flipkart.The product is very light and it has all the total protection features . K7 is offering 3 Months Extended updates for all the users who get their product activated between 10 - 20th August.

I am expecting my order to be delivered as soon as possible so that i wont miss this offer.

I recently got this product. Apart from flipkart service nothing seemed good. The product is much like a typical pirated software. Seems to be a good one at first instant but soon you discover that it stands no where. Even while updating the database the system performance is drastically affected, forget about rootkit scan. While in game mode if goes into slumber and forgets to wake up. Firewall is like fired-wall with holes in it. No reliable anti-phishing, Security for AOL and windows messenger not there, forget about skype, gives security for age old yahoo messenger which most people don't use these days. Good rather just reliable performance with IE only, Chrome is alien browser for K7, which makes you much vulnerable to malware. Parental controls are present and so is email scan but i really doubt on its claim for later. Technical support is excellent, you feel like 3 people working for you. It is more or less an average security software with average performance as for as its pricing is concerned it is not at all a costly deal, but a few more bucks can strike a better deal.

According to me it is the best antivirus that I use ever. Following things attracted me the most:-
1) It's tools that includes USB Vaccination, Computer tune up, Secure delete, IE history clean up,Internet and Windows temp cleaner. In this whole tools USB Vaccination attracted me the most. After vaccinating your USB drive , It doesn't allow the virus to enter in your drive(even in the case using it to the infected system or other user system) until you format it. After formatting you have to again give vaccine to your drive.
2)It's system secure system. Suppose you have inserted an USB drive infected with malicius codes program i.e virus. Than your system will auto lock and K7 will scan that drive to dis infect some file may not be dis infect , but don't worry it will not harm your system. Than after your system will auto scan after unlocking with this antivirus.
3) It is easy to understand it's features.
4) In case you will forget your Serial Key, Contact the service centre they will mail , on that ID which you have provided during installation.

After using for a few days I can say that this anti-virus is a good one. Before this for last two years I have been using Kaspersky but it made my system slower at times. After changing the anti-virus my system has again become faster. It removes trojans and other malicious infected items. Plus it updates its virus definitions at regular intervals.
It includes many features and it is a good deal for the price quoted.
Flipkart was efficient and on time as always :)

Let me begin by stating that i do not hate K7. It has served me well through the initial days, and cheap given its pricing. But as time passes, i just couldnt ignore the fact that something was amiss. I used to get spammed by wierd links when i was supposed to be under the wings of K7. Even Tech support had no idea. Seriously, this is what you can expect from an Indian product.

So far, it has been lite on performance, never bothered me much with False positives and did seem to be good. Yet it seems to fall into a deep slumber after enabling "Gaming mode" for a few minutes. Plus, K7's User interface doesnt seem that cool.

Anyway, i recommend K7 Total Security for the novices. Professionals, please keep your distance. Spend a lil extra and go for Norton or Kaspersky. They mave look old, might seem to lag a bit, yet they are the Giants of Cyber Security !
