Summary
RAW is the primary external intelligence agency of India, and the book deals with the different aspects of its functioning. This book is the first attempt of this kind by a retired Indian RAW agent, who served in the organization for 26 years since its inception. The book takes the reader on a journey of the modern history of india including the 71 war, the insurgency in Northeast, the Emergency, and the war of Afghanistan. The book provides great insight into the working of the Research and Analysis Wing.
About Raman
Raman was an IPS officer who was transferred to the Intelligence Bureau in New Delhi. He was noticed by India spymaster P. N. Kao, who took him in the Research and Analysis Wing. He died in 2013, after a very prolonged battle with cancer at the age of 77.
