Karbonn A9+

I had placed an order for Karbonn A18 earlier, but Micromax Funbook Talk made me to cancel that order that order a couple of days later. However, the specs of MMX FB Talk stopped me from buying it. It had no Bluetooth, single SIM, etc etc. And then came the Karbonn A9+.

I couldn't find much review on this phone, but the specs alone made me to think that this is the phone I am going to buy. I immediately placed an order for this phone on Flipkart, and right now, it's in my palm!!

Well, the phone is amazing. The dsplay is mind blowing. I can say it is around 225+ ppi. The colors are bright and vivid. The UI was smooth. I didn't feel any lad when used normally.

However, the HD video playback was a disappointment. The frame rate was very slow. The video will stop in between. Also, I found the earpiece volume to be a bit low. That was a disappointment as well.

The space utilization of the phone is pretty good. I had already installed number of apps in it. And yes, it includes FM radio.

The package comes with charger and headset of Pearl White color. You'll feel as if you are using any Apple accessory.

Overall, this is a good package considering the price at which it is being sold. And at this price, the most amazing thing was the bright red Qualcomm Snapdragon logo on the box.

..To start with.. I smashed my HTC... outside warranty... repair quote was 10,500.. which wasn't worth..!! so was lookin n researching for cheapest options with Max features..!! So obvious.. I zeroed upon Micromax n Karbonn..!! I almost got the A100....great build quality... but i didnt kinda Like the onscreen touch buttons n the font in few widgets... Then i decided to go for A18... liked everything about it... but the build quality was lookin aweful @ first glance..!! Then I started seeing the ads for of A11... but the look was a bit old school....!!! but then... A9+ just gave me what i wanted.. looks.. Size.. Specs n da price..!! I've seen a A9.. its display was quite good.. so this one will be much better..!!!

Also i saw a few People were worried bout the high SAR values... yes.. It is on the higher side... but hey... Its not only karbonn n micromax there.... A few Big Names are rated with almost equal or more SAR value... so as long as u use a headset for long Calls... I think u should be Absolutely fine..!! I'm buying this one....

Cos.. If I gain.. I would've gained a mountain.. n if I lose.. I would've lost a Pube..!! haha..!!

1. At RS. 9220/-, 1.2 Gzh Duel core processor
2. Compare any latest brand and the specification you will have all of it in this piece (May be a littel less) but no brang can give it at this Price.
3. Camera quality is too good and skype works absolutely fine on this.
4. Its really a very perfect device at very affordable price...
5. Its amazingly light weight... even with battery inside...
6. All Andriod things works fine and touch screen is very smooth
6. No reason not to buy... its working absolutely like MAKKHAN....

Don't know much about the performance and looks like it uses Snapdragon S4 Play MSM8225 chip which is a average performance processor.
This budget chip uses the older 45nm process technology and slower Cortex-A5 CPU and Adreno 203 GPU.

Hence we get budget phone but definitely worth the price as compared to HTC desire X which has the same chip and is overpriced at RS 19799 so Karbonn is definitely a winner when price is concerned. .

flipkart delivered my a9+ on the 19th, though the expected delivery date was on the 22nd. now i ve been usin this phone for almost 4days WITHOUT ANY ISSUES....till now.

the battery backup is good though it heats up and drains power when you use 3g net. downloadin speed is awesome... it took 1-2 mins to download a 25mb app. i am using reliance.

the screen quality is vibrant and good to look at. plays videos(vent tried hd yet)crystal clear.

the camera is great during daylight(i gave some puja photos for a newspaper and it came out great) sec camera is also good.

u can store apps also in the sd card...

call quality is refined...

music play back in a good headphones is cool, ther is an fx booster.

and the last but not the least, 1.2 ghz dualcore qualcom snapdragon processor gives u speed to play any games, open any app fast.

so finally, the verdict on this phone by me is.... at 9290rs, u wont get a better android phone that would match the a9+!!!
