Karbonn Smart Tab 1

I got he Karbonn smart tab a week back and I'm disappointed with it. Following the cons and pros that I found out, let me first start with Cons

Cons
1. Display is not great and color reproduction is bad.
2. Majority of the apps in Google play are not supported. There are workarounds but not straight forward
3. Though Karbonn claims this tab to be a good gaming device, its just the opposite. You hardly find any 3D games that are supported on this tab
4. Karbonn support seems non existent. Their toll free number is not answering and service center guys are not even aware of this tablet. This is a new product so that could be the reason
5. Front facing 2MP camera is useless since none of the video chat apps are supported.
6. Kinetic scrolling is not great. Download Dolphin HD or some other good browser for better experience
7. If you do a hard reset, then you will not be able to Install Google play and lots of other apps. Again there are workarounds for this aswell.
8. User manual is a joke, its full of grammatical mistakes. This itself shows how much Karbonn cares about the tablet. It seems to be printed in China
9. RAM is not 512 MB as mentioned in specs, its only 335. I know there will be some difference but this difference is not acceptable

Pros
1. Good looks
2. Build quality seems good.
3. Battery life is good
4. WIFI is seamless, no disconnects and good reception as well
5. Good pricing.
6. Applications run without any lag and flash plays well
7. Tab runs Android 4.0.3
8. You can connect the tablet to your HD TV by mini HDMI cable, it works well.

You can easily buy and order the product from any of the online shopping website and i think apart from flipkart.com no other online shopping portal is displaying the negative feedback on Karbonn Tabltes which we should appreciate to Flipkart.com for maintaining.

I would suggest you to call the toll free number or other numbers specified on the Karbonmobiles.com website before buying and you can get a clear picture of the bad service as no one will respond to the calls before/after you buy & even toll free number...
1)80% games are not compatible with tablet ,
2)battery is not good as i am getting the backup only for 2-3 hours while surfing the internet
3) Service is very very poor or you can say no service been provided by Karbonn after buying it from
4)Tablet screens delivered with 2 dead pixels which means the screen will not last-long.( don't know about others tables screen).
5) No support software available on karbon mobile
6) to conclude, do not buy just for the less price see services as you cannot even enjoy the tablet for more than 5-6 months.

Hats off to flipkart.com for clearly bewaring its customers about the serious 3G dongle compatibility issue with this stupid tab.

It should have been Karbonn to declare this, but they have'nt mentioned a word about this huge drawback.

I was forced to buy a new dongle and 3G plan for Rs. 3000 making the effective price of this UNSMART Tab 12000.

I feel like a fooled customer who is not responded to service emails and the toll free customer care number of Karbonn too not being answered.

I bought this cheap tab to pass time during daily office travel feeling it would be worrth, but proved too costly. Go for Samsung P3100 or Samsun 620 Tab and not this one.

Skype not available to install from Google Play. lot of other applications that i have on my Samsung Galaxy nexus(ICS OS) are not available for installing on this device.
for the installed applications its working well. screen resolution and touch can be considered good for a budget tab.
pathatic customer service. i have been trying to reach customer care for the past two weeks but no success till now. no response to email and the phone just keeps ringing.

I believe that such a Huge company that brings karbonn smart tab in the market to fool the customers with disgusting performance at the price 7500/-.. the reason i purchased this tab was because of IPL, design & d features too.. No Skype limited apps from GoogleStore. Its a capacitive touchscreen but i say touchscreen capacity is only up to 50% capacitive! 60% laggy! Even while playing movies u can c d color difference a bit.. it will take 10years to open a game! Even If I want to resale this dumb tab i can't! So the best option is I have placed this Tab in my Car, over there i can say its valuable. But if you are tab freak within this price range go for MICROMAX,no matter how the design is, prefer the performance!
