Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 3 PC 1 Year

i have been using kaspersky for the past 5 years.i have used all antivirus and i can formly assure that kaspersky is the best product.

people should not judge product by its cheap cost but by its effectiveness(i have heard people telling me quickheal is better because it costs more :P)
but kaspersky is worlds most sold antivirus and thats the soul reason y its so cheapest

I purchased the Kaspersky Internet security after trying out the demo, its really awesome. Its light-weight and doesnt make lot of resources (Im using it on my Laptop) unlike my previous antivirus. The 2012 version is worth the few extra rupees than the 2011 version or the normal antivirus edition. It has additional features like cloud protection, web advisor, virtual keyboard and if im not mistaken it has a file encryption option also. So go ahead buy this Internet security.

Flipkart's service was excellent. Congrats on the new courier service, it was much much more speedy than other couriers.

i am using kaspersky internet security since 2009 and my opinion is that kaspersky is the best internet security antivirus present in the market.no virus can beat kaspersky's protection.once it is been installed into system forget about any threat & surf the internet without any fear.the only thing one has to remember that to update it online atleast everyday.
one problem which i faced with kaspersky 2012 new version is that after installation the defragmentation process create problem & the update files have troubles to get defragmented i.e system could not de fragment updated files of kaspersky internet security & system gets down slow but this problem does not occurs while you use older version updated.

This is my very 1st review and my 3rd purchase from Flipkart. Service of Flipkart is just awesome.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 is the bast Antivirus out there. A simple search on Google will suffice any quarries for that matter.

But I was unable to decide between Bitdefender and Kaspersky. Both are best of the class. I choose Kaspersky based on the following reasons:

1. Low memory footprint on the system, and,
2. Some of the Flipkart-buyers have complained that the Bitdefender-installation-CD is scratched, even to the point that it won't install from the CD and they had to download the installation file from the site! (see Bitdefender reviews).

After installing Kaspersky I faced the following Activation Error :--"Necessary resource is unavailable on the activation Server"

To resolve your issue with the Kaspersky Activation please follow the below steps.

1) Click on Activate Trial version.
2) Click on Next & finish.
3) Click on Update & Run Update 100%. (it will take a long time to update and you will keep on thinking if you hav just wasted your money)
4) After update is 100% restart computer
5) Open Kaspersky IS 2012, Click on Manage License.
6) Click on Enter Activation Code.
7) Enter 20 digit Activation Code.
8) Click on Next & finish. And it will work just fine.

I have tried a lot of security suites and finally this is the one I admires the most. If you compare Norton Internet Security with this, Kaspersky is clearly the winner.
Pros :

- Low memory foot print on system
- Nice and clean UI
- Cloud based threat detection and monitoring
- Frequent updates
- Sandboxing of Apps and Browser.
- Rescue disk option for USB drives.
- Parental control is nice and easy to configure.

Cons -
- USB disk scanning proves a bit intrusive. It should only show the reports if any threat is found.
- Firewall doesn't seem much advanced one. Nothing much to configure.

I have chosen this one after testing Norton, Bit Defender, Avira, Eset Nod32 and Avast. I didn't prefer Norton UI. Bit Defender: is a complete resource hog, eating out system and network bandwidth. Avira: is good if you are going free antivirus, only problem is the nag screen with false positives and ESET Nod32: virus detection rate is less.

Overall I give 9/10 to this. Only points where it can improve is bundling a powerful Firewall system and fine-tuning some nag reporting screens.
