I used the old Inalsa model for years, could not get the same thing from Inalsa again so zeroed in on this Kenstar Karishma classic food Processor.
The jars are made up of very cheap quality plastic and are breakable though they have mentioned they are unbreakable not that I hammered them to break them, it was just while using the product that they developed cracks and now leak.
They have provided a small lock which when placed in the slot the machine works which is so small that I had to secure a place for it so that it is not lost or the whole thing would stop working.
On Off Switch is of very poor plastic and breaks easily which is also not available from the service center(Still waiting for the jar and switch since 3 months after ordering)
The Dough kneading blade is upside down which is attached to one more pipe to make it function hence too many attachments.
Finally this one is just a waste of money a, absolute useless product by Kenstar
I bought mine in 2006 when Flipkart wasn't even around, and I am actualyl surprised to see it is still sold today because that appliance gave me some grey hair from day one.
First there is that confusing lock plastic piece, apparently you need to use it only when using the grinder jars and remove it when using the mixing platic bowl...whatever, the piece is so small that I secured it into place just not to loose it. The grating plates are all massively useless, because tehre is a 1cm gap between the lid and the circular plate so, cheese, carros and other veggies just slide in between without ever be grated, it's impossible to grate coconut with the coconut grating plate because the coconut slide immediately in the gap.
The fruit juicer is probably the most idiotic, it will juice ok, but all the fruit pulp will get stuck in the spinning basket and will be completely impossible to wash, I used it once, washed 5 times only to see the whole thing catch black mold from leftover fruit fiber, whcih efficiently made it garbage material, not that I complained because the fruit juicer takes a lot of space in your cabinets, the citrus juicer I didn't even bother using after that.
The chopping blade worked fine, the dough blade was a disaster, it is made of plastic and it melted from the friction after a few use welding it to the lid of the blending bowl. Irritated at the idea of going across town for just that I managed to sperate them but the dough hook had a part that was damaged permanently int he process, fortunately not affecting the use too much. The egg white beater only works if you beat more than 3-4 egg whites and I never ever ever managed to get whipped cream with despite the booklet specifying it could be used for that as well.
In the end the only part I realyl used often was the mixer-grinder jars, but be aware that the speed is sluggish, it can't make a banana shake or mango shake without any lumps in it, and just about foget the idea of making a coconut chutney in there, it doesn't work. It fried once in 2011 after I decided to grind more than half a cup of idli rice at once, we got it fixed, and I avoided using it too much after that, this morning I killed it permently drying to blitz forzen banana chunck to make some ice cream, it first destroyed the medium steel jar with the plastic wheel at the base breaking off the jar and causing smoke to come from the motor, I let it cool down, transfered the banana half puree to the plast blending jar and just as the mixture was getting smooth enough the motor fried for good, emanating a bad smell. And I think the reason my food processor lasted so long is that I am not a daily user, more like a weekly one, if not less because handling that machine is irritating at it's best.
The plastic jars will chip despite the claim of being unbreakable, and seriously after barely a year of owning it I realised that it was a waste of money since all I could use without too much trouble was the mixie-grinder part and all the food processor attachement were useless, If I knew I wanted a mixer-grinder-juicer I would not have bought a food processor, but clearly Kenstar has no idea what food processors are supposed to do in the first place and put zero care in the conception of their product...
My advice: AVOID AT ALL COST
