The Grand Plus water purifier by Kent not only retains minerals but also is good at removing the dissolved impurities from the water. The Kent Grand Plus water filter has a total storage tank capacity of 8 litres. This specially designed water purifier has an input voltage power requirement from the range of 160 - 300 V. The operating voltage requirement for this appliance is 24 V.
The Reverse Osmosis function is the most convenient and effective method of filtration which is capable of purifying even saline sea water, making it fit for drinking. This special method makes sure the minerals in the water are not lost and gives you better tasting water. The Quartz UV Filtration method is a special feature which allows the water to pass through high-grade glass without contacting any metal. The microbes in the water will be destroyed due to its exposure to UV light.
There are 4 different types of purification methods in the Grand Plus water purifier which gives you pure water. The Ultra Filtration type of purification completely removes all bacteria, viruses and other suspended particles which are present in the water. The Grand Plus water filter has been recognized by the Water Quality Association which gives it more credibility.
The elegantly designed water purifier has a transparent cover body with which you can have a better view of the water levels. There is a Spin-welded Reverse Osmosis membrane housing in this water purifier to prevent tampering. The ABS construction material in the Grand Plus water purifier is intended to give it a corrosion free lifespan. There will not be issues such as rusting as in the appliance due to the ABS construction material. The Kent Grand Plus has Sediment, Activated Carbon, UF and Post Carbon type filters. The Kent appliance is a space maker by design with its 260 x 520 x 410 mm dimensions. The Grand Plus appliance by Kent weighs 9.4 kg.
The RO purifier has a purification capacity of 15 litres per hour. You can wall mount this appliance and save a lot of space on your kitchen counter top. The Kent purifier has a Push-fit component for leak-proof performance which avoids wastage of water and keeps your kitchen clean. The TDS controller is a special feature which does the water purification for you based on the number of impurities present in it. More total dissolved solids rate in water means more impurities in water. TDS controller controls the TDS rate so that you can get hygienic water.
The Auto-Start feature in this Kent water purifier fills water for you when the tank is empty. The Kent Pearl water purifier makes your work simpler by the Auto-Off feature which turns off the filling mechanism automatically when the water is filled. The UV water purifier by Kent is computer controlled with Filter Change Alarm which informs you when to change the filters, and if it's not changed it automatically stops working after 60 hours. The UV fail alarm in this appliance is audible and does not function until the UV lamp is changed. There is a purified water level indicator in this Kent Grand Plus water purifier. The specially designed water filter will purify different types of water such as sea water, and water from bore-wells and taps.

Kent machine is good or bad I don’t know, but a major problem is there service system.
The dealer who will sell product will provide service have 3 flaws which may affect costumer.
1) He will sell in a area far away where it will not easy to provide service
2) He may sell wrong combination of products in order to make profit. suppose iron guard is required but not available in stock, simply he will not sell.
3)Intentionally he will provide bad service, so that costomer will have to change parts frequently, by that way he will earn more profit.... etc..

I purchased Kent Grant plus on 26 th may 2012. I logged on Sulekha. So call came from a representative. He pushed hard saying that I will get very good after sale service. The representative was from

When I conformed within 3 hour he made it installed. But it stopped working on 12 th June after 17 days. So I called the sales representative and asked did he installed any wrong product, i.e. he had installed two sedimentation filters instead of iron guard. His reply was iron guard is not required in this area.
He logged a complain on behalf of me. I got a call from their office, regarding timing I said to come after 7pm. Their reply was timing is between 10 am to 6 pm. So I said tomorrow morning I will conform. Toady on 13-06-12 when I called at 10 am, mobiles were switched off, even no answer from land line, until 10.30. Again when I called at 11 pm I was said that I will be informed. As I did not get any call I again called at around 12.30 pm. I was assured that I will get service after 2 pm. I asked for 5 pm. They agreed. Again I made a call at 2.15 pm got assurance. So I took leave from office at 3.30pm. Again called at 5.03 pm. Answer was the person is on the way. But at 5.50 pm the person called me that he can not come as he is far away at Garia.
It is not possible to take leave from office everyday. Even after taking leave there is no guaranty.
after that they have visited two times. till now the problem not solved.You see last 5 days i m suffering
I had purchased this water purifier mostly going by their advertisements, a decision I heavily regret. The filter stalled after two months of operation. The UV Lamp failed repeatedly. I have been struggling to get it repaired since then. Service agents have replaced almost every component in it, some parts more than once. Their service is pathetic, mainly because they do not really have any owned service centre, it seems to be mostly sourced out to unprofessional vendors. They respond but never really provide resolution to your problem. They also pointed out that the company has a 'no refund' and 'no product replacement' clause on their warranty, which means only parts can be repaired/replaced.
I think going for a non-electrical filter is a better idea. Buy from a reputed and established company like Eureka Forbes or Hindustan Lever, don't be fooled by advertisements, I think that is the only place the company seems to be investing.
As of now, after having exhausted all options, I am building a case for filing a complaint in the consumer court.
The bottomline is: avoid at all costs. And if you own it, keep your fingers crossed.
Water qualiy is awesome but service is not upto mark. i have to replace each part of this Purifier every two months local vendors are making huge money on the name of sales and service i have spent almost 10,000/- bugs on its repair. very bad experience.
I am planning to change the Kent RO with other competitive product becuase there is no service at all. As a part of regular service they just come and check the TDS level that's it. Ideally they should be doing a reverse flushing to remove the residue from the inlet of various filtering unit within Kent RO. There is no preventive maintenance and will respond only if complaint made by the customer. For this the logic is that Kent is having only one or two service representatives, who are mostly busy with complaints, hence dont have time for preventive maintenance. Incidentally, the RO membrane of Kent RO is only 6 months. The AMC is very high Rs. 3600, where they dont change any thing. If you dont want to opt for AMC they will send service representative, to mention that filter elements are bad, requiring change, thereby forcing you to go for AMC.
So the moral of the story is Invest Rs 15000 for a "use & throw" product because at end of one year you will forced to buy a new product.
1. There is no official service center from Kent,:
Means from which local dealer we buy this product, he is only responsible for its service, and i am sure once product is sold, why would he bother? because they are not Kent officials, so they are not bothering about its image.
2. Very Poor service :
If we lodge a complaint today, they will take a minimum of week time, to respond to the request, that too if we follow up 100 times.
3. I bought this purifier 6 months back, mainly by looking at adds which we see daily.
believe me, i have faced so many problems, at least 20 times i must have faced severe problems. service guys come after a weak and they do something, again within a weak we face something else, for that again they take week together . got fed up in following up their customer care. even the previous complaint or service did not solve the problem, and if we call them to re look into it, they will take it as new complaint and they wont give priority even if we face no water for weeks or months together.
4. Before buying it i heard from people that Kent has very poor service, but never expected that it could be as horrible as this much. I am sure there cant be more worst than this much.
5. My suggestion is please don't buy this product. if you are small family better use bottle water( 20 Liter can ), cost of it will be 100% lesser than maintaining a such a worst product. at least you can be tension free.
6. But one this is sure, quality of water it produces is really good. but what is the use, if it keep spoiling again and again.
7. I heard there are other RO filters, they are better than Kent. like Zero B, Live pure from luminous etc... but i don't know , never used them.
8. I dint buy this from Flipkart.
