Khaitan Torch LED Emergency Lights

The Positives:
Light weight and powerful. The main purpose of this was to light up the kitchen during power cuts so that I don't have to be hungry until the power is back on. :) And it serves this purpose absolutely. Had charged for 15 hours when I received the product and have then just used it for an hour or so. The plug used for charging - Just push it out of the body and hang it upside-down from a wall socket.

The Negatives:
It is much smaller than it looks in the picture above. It is just a bit bigger than my palm. Also, there is a small torch on top which is of not much use - not too bright - just the power of 5-6 LEDs. The plastic used is cheap. The plug that is used for recharging broke after a few weeks and now I have to manually pull it out. The charge does not last for more than an hour and it needs constant recharging for long hours.

Overall Rating:
Disappointed. It is cheap for a reason - it is not good. Definitely not recommended. Flipkart should not be selling such stuff on this website. This is a definite - DO NOT BUY if you are planning to use it for more than an hour per day.

The worst product I could ever buy. As per specifications I charged the in-built battery for 24 hrs on the first use and 18 hrs each for the next consecutive days. But, how much ever you charge it went in vain. It could hardly give you half-an-hour, full-fledged light upon using it.

The only star I am giving to this product is because of the number of led lights instilled with this torch, light to carry and its slim design.

And I snatch back the remaining four stars because of:
1) not a tough body
2) the manufacturer could have used a bigger battery utilizing most of the space it has got from its design
3) lesser battery backup
4) maximum charging time
5) poor distance visibility
6) the brand Khaitan (it went over my head before buying)
7) the money

I am regretting myself for buying this product by putting so much money with so many demerits.

I also hope flikpart withdraws this product.

The torch was working fine for 2 months but now it is not at all bright.. I bought seeing the brand name Khaitan but I am now disappointed. Flipkart should not sold such products.

Any one has similar experience??

I ve brought this torch coz i do travel a lot and power cuts is a constant pain in the @$$ , that too for hours. Its been told in the user manual that the red light turns green when its fully charged, the charging time being 14 hrs or so. I plugged it in well over 24 hrs, yet i failed to see the green light. The charging is done by the 2 pins which can be slid out from its bottom. I find that to be a little disturbing as we need to push it out with force just to get it out. But for an immediate dinner , or may be reading during power cuts , the light is pretty powerful and can lit a small room decently. The torch at the top doesn't add much of a value though.

I liked the thing even then, coz it fits my bag well and can carry it around in case of a travel. But there was an issue with one of the LEDs blinking strangely while the others were doin fine. I reported it to the customer care and although i asked for a replacement, the customer care told that they cannot guarentee that the replaced new one is defect free , so they told they will provide a money back.

I purchased this Torch cum LED emergency light 2 months back based on the review provided by other customers. After using it for two months though to throw light on the performance of the product. As there are various reviews which misleads many customers like me.

Performance:
1) It has a torch and 26 LEDs which provides enough light if you want to use it for study purpose or equivalent tasks.

2) It can be satisfactory on the part that it gives enough light if full charged.

Issues:
1) It is must that u need to charge it for full night and in return it will only work for hardly half hour.

This is the most disappointing part when u charge it full night and when need arises it hardly works for half an hour.

For people who still don't have a problem if it works half hour after full night charge, then this product is for you.

And people who wants a product to serve light at least more than a hour after complete charge, DON't go for this.
