Awesome read

I had seen the movie long ago(Gregory Peck as Atticus) but the book is much much better than the movie.

Though its set in 1930s the author very meticulously and beautifully describes the growing up years. While reading this book, I somehow took one down memory lane sort of reliving childhood.

Awesome!!

Flipkart was very prompt in delivering the book in a day's time.

Entertainer..!!

Due to strong recommendations i got this book on my wishlist but i finally managed to read this book by borrowing from a friend. It was a quick read.
Harper Lee quite brilliantly captured the nuances of the society and surroundings through the eyes of a young girl. The protagonist narrates a part of her childhood of how she starts her school, her escapades with her elder brother and Dill who she plans to marry when she grows up, her relationship with her father and how she tries to battle th...

A story about growing up...

It is a story about growing up and on our way leaning lessons of life sometimes willing and at times unwillingly as well..
Childhood is the most beautiful part of our life and this book has a magical power to take us back to it all over again, as we see world from Scout's point of view, moments from our own golden period will come floating back to us...
Take my advise and buy this book right now, you won't regret this decision ever.
Happy reading!! :) :)

A story for all times and ages...

this is my favorite book, a story so endearing and yet with a serious theme, told in a manner that you do not need to fit it in a time frame, characters that you could relate with.
all pros n no cons...go on and read it (its all of 300 pages, easy read) and you will love it....

Wow!

This book was recommended to me by my girlfriend, and I didn't really get into reading this, but finally did.

This book is marvellously lucid yet profound. It portrays such complex human emotions, and constantly reminds you that children are far more greater than adult beings.

The story flows along beautifully, and such a strong story line, made me immersed into the book really quick.

The picture painted by Harper Lee is such a detailed, and colorful image, that it is hard not to aspire f...

Pretty good

The book is more beautiful than expected I am too happy for this book but the main problem is that the edges of the book was bent literally bent and I am very disappointed for that... The book is very very very thick and have 272 pages I know after reading this review you will think that 272 pages are too less to be thick but because of the page quality and because of the page thickness it seems to be a very thick book but it actually contains 272 pages only... You can go for this book I boug...

Simple and Sober.

Plot:It revolves around two characters who are children i.e brother and sister. It is a story about their neighbours and how their acts get them into trouble as well as endear them to a particular neighbour who seem to be abnormal and hence does not want any interaction with anyone.

Comment:The book has a way of narration which is slow but not borring. It is a very tough task to write a book where nothing big happens but small events and their effects are brilliantly coalesced together and giv...
