Kingston SSDNow V100 64 GB SSD Internal Hard Drive (SV100S2/64G)

I have been using this for a few days already as the OS/boot drive.

The performance difference between this and other HDDs is readily visible. Booting up win7 takes about 20sec. Load times have decreased significantly for all applications installed on the SSD.

Hints:
-Disconnect your HDD from the PC before installing windows on the SSD. Otherwise it will end up creating a small 100mb system partition on the HDD(Don't know why this occurs or how to avoid it).
-Disable Hibernation and move the pagefile to a HDD to save space and prevent excessive wear on the device.
-Ensure that Win7 recognizes this as an SSD and TRIM is enabled. ;)

On 25th April, I Order 7 Qty of Kingston V100 64GB (Which was listed as 3Years Warranty), On the Order Status it was written "NEXT BUSINESS DAY DELIVERY FROM THE DAY OF ORDER", So I was expecting the same on 29th. In the morning of 29th, I call them and asked for update status of the same, Was shock to hear that, they are now in the process of procuring the product and it will take a week more" I was tampered as I confirmed them before ordering it, as I was going to do the payment at the time of Order. I request every one, never pay a payment at the time of Order, as at very last movement they will do the cancellation and make you run to hunt for the same some where else.. with another investment, refund will arrive after a week.. as per procedure.

With respect to the desktop performance reviews in internet, this may not the best in the market, but I am using it in my car computer due to the reason these SSD does not have any moving parts like regular HDD. Done a small test which matters for a carputer, I am using Windows 7 lite, Intel Atom 2500HN, 2GB DDR3 Ram and max time it takes is less than 18 second to come to life from hibernate. I got 11 seconds too with no application running. With this price point, it is a very good buy. And due to low power rating highly recommended for CarPC or low energy green PC.

It's compact, no mechanical parts and decently faster than a normal HDD.

Running Windows 7, 32 bit and it boots up in 20-30 secs, that's faster than the HDD I was using which took almost a minute and a half to do the same.

Like everyone else said, not the best of the lot but a good value for money for the price tag it carries!

Installed this ssd primarily for OS and office applications. Other files was stored in a normal 1 TB hdd. The response time especially upon booting is significantly faster than normal hdd. This drive looks perfect for those who wants faster boot time while keeping other multimedia files in normal hdd. Should also be a good buy for those who wants to get into the ssd age without blowing your pocket.
