Lump in the throat

This is a well written amazing tale which includes deep emotions. The story starts from the protagonist's childhood and traces all the years until he becomes a man brave enough to execute his remorse.Moments in the story are touchy enough to feel the lump in the throat.

Also, you can feel the essence of Afghanistan' culture before the wars..

Awesome

I have read many books but this novel is really awesome. It is highly interesting, touching and above all, it is very honest. I like the way the writer describes the situations, scenes and interior thoughts. But most of all, i like the childhood part of novel. In many cases, i associate myself with Amir. I have many characteristics of him. And i am also a huge fond of kite flying. It was my childhood passion. So, this novel refreshed many my childhood memories. In crux, i like this novel and learn many things of life and also of Afghanistan. I give it 4.5 out of 5. MUST READ.

Beautiful.

Plot:The story revolves around two children in afghanistan, who are half brothers and are unaware of that fact.Their father is a rich man in afghanistan but post soviet invasion moves out to USA.Here the story continues ,however one of the child is left behind by his father to take care of house with the help of a servant. However things turn tragic and an incident in childhood haunts the main lead throughout his life.He tries to redeem himself by doing something unselfish for his half-brother.But things are more complicated than it may seem from far away in USA.Will he be able to redeem himself?

Comment:The author needs to be commended for the way he potrays characters according to their basic nature. The story is woven very elegantly and you can identify with characters.I will definitely vouch for this book.

The Kite Runner Review

This is a purchase I'll always treasure. It's a precious gift from a writer to his readers.

This book has stains of every emotion known to human race. There is a loud cry of hungry love that will haunt you throughout.

Baba comes alive when he tells Amir that the greatest and only sin is Theft. Alcohol is just about fine.

Hasan is an extraordinary and angelic imagination of a brilliant writer.

Amir jan. He is both black and white. You can argue & fight with him, relate to him, play with him, spend a lifetime with him, love him but you can never sympathize with him. Let alone empathizing.

I can often locate Baba and Amir on a street but never HASSAN.

A powerful and mesmerizing novel that crawls from your eyes to your soul !!
