Enlightening and Thought Provocative Plot but Overtly Clichéd

I, just like those who read Chanakya's Chant and Rozabal Line, waited with incessant fervour so long for Ashwin Sanghi's third book "The Krishna Key" and with FlipKart's peerless service, got this the first day of its release.

Like his other two books, The Krishna Key as well, exhibits Ashwin Sanghi's profound love for History. The way he gathers intricate information and most importantly the way he narrates for common folk to comprehend makes him deserve the accolades of literature.

Like his other two books, The Krishna Key as well, exhibits Ashwin Sanghi's profound love for History. The way he gathers intricate information and most importantly the way he narrates for common folk to comprehend makes him deserve the accolades of literature.

Coming to the book, though I read the first 5 chapters online long ago, my enthu pursuaded me to start afresh from the first page. The first half of the book engrossed me by his creative way of historic interpretation and interlinking of several distanced unrelated fragments to form a rational whole. The second half as well was excellently weaved with rational intrecacies but somehow I couldn't see in me the pinacle of interest that existed during the first chapters of my read. Probably this is due to the reason that I could predict, almost accurately, the plot laid couple of pages ahead. Adding to these I noticed few textual errors like "Priya and Radhika" instead of "Saini and Radhika"(Page 389, 18th line) and "Saini and Priya" instead of "Saini and Radhika"(Page 456, 4th line) which further made me wonder the authencity of the book and loose my credibility over it. Though the author, just like the other books in this genre(Ex: Davinci Code), mentioned The Krishna Key as a fiction and the instances in the book as imaginary, I expected all the historical references atleast to be true but with a little online digging, I understood that this part of the book too has some discrepancies.

No matter what, it's not a small task but a humongous voyage to collect such tremondous information and to sew these pieces together soo creatively to put into a book and undoubtedly Ashwin Sanghi has done a great job. I read in the other reviews that the plot culmination was bad, however I felt that the climactic explanation of the protagonist's interpretation of their quest was rather spiritual and should be observed this way. May be the dislike towards the End is due to the fact that it was very vaguely linked and related to the rest of the story since its inception. Nevertheless, I suggest one should read this book and one would love it if it's not compared with Dan Brown's books.

Very well researched book!

Cleary a masterpiece! I have read all the 3 books written by the author and I have to say with each book I am deeply amazed with the extent of hardwork/research/technical brilliance that Mr Sanghi has put into while penning down this book. I would personally rate this book in one of the top ten books I have read in my lifetime! Great work Mr Sanghi & team!

Completed reading The Krishna key in record time (my personal record - 1.5 days). Very very transformational indeed! The best of the 3 books written by Ashwin Sanghi! Learnt so many important things by reading this historical thrille...

Completed reading The Krishna key in record time (my personal record - 1.5 days). Very very transformational indeed! The best of the 3 books written by Ashwin Sanghi! Learnt so many important things by reading this historical thriller! Highly recommend this to my friends who are interested in arts, history, relics, ancient Indian scriptures. The great thing about the book is the plot is so beautifully woven with Mahabaratha that you internalise the parallel story so well. Hardly has the author left any loose ends to the story, that would make the readers question, "why has he not addressed that"?
Added to that what is yet another marvel is the tempo of the book is set very high at the very start of the book itself (infact in the first few lines itself) and the tempo remained consistent and never dropped anywhere till the end!! Its very hard to maintain the tempo throughout the book, given that the author has set very high standards upfront and therefore raised the readers expections! Ofcourse he didn't disappoint me!! I am very sure that the book is going to top all the bestselling charts much like Rozabal line & Chanakya's chants!
My best wishes to Mr Sanghi to produce many more such literary gems such as this one!

Ashwin Sanghi is 'The Father of Modern Historical Fiction'

If you've read any of Sanghi's other books, this novel will knock your socks off. If you haven't, then reading this will make you want to read more. I can actually smell thrill in those 470 pages. I read this latest work of Sanghi's just the way I ingested the last one, "Chanakya's Chant". With zest. Ashwin Sanghi is a gifted writer who knows how to salt the page with just enough suspense and a gentle touch of fact.
He leads the reader on a journey that ends up leading you to a deeper faith and considering more of what Krishna is doing in our lives.

A very well researched and though provoking book

Superb book to read. Keeps you interested in every page you read, keeps you glued on to the book with the mystery, intrigue and thrill. Always enjoyed books which have a religious or mythological connection but this one takes the cake. Ashwin Sanghi not only had a great imagination but strong fundamental knowledge about science, astrology, ancient history and spirituality. How he weaves a story using all this is simply terrific. A must read for everyone who has always questioned these four disciplines.

Mystical and Rivetting

Eagerly waited for this excellent edition after having read the ARozabal line and Chanakya's Chant by the same author. Ashwin has once again produced a gripping narrative of modern day Avataar. Close knit referendum to previous yug and the emergence of Modern day avataar of bhagwaan Krishna in the protagonist is rivetting and leaves the reader agape in astonishment. I shall tag the book as a Spiritual thriller. Ashwin is far more excellent than the likes of Dan Brown. Marvellous read for all

Good starting but at the end it lost

This book is a product of imagination based on history. It started very well. Mystery with information on Lord Krishna's life. But at the very end at the base of Taj Mahal in a climax situation instead of action there is discussion on History!!! How come a sub-inspector of Police become CBI's s... (View complete review)

Indeed a page turner !

I am pretty sure if the Ashwin Sanghi would have written the only story then it could have become little amazing but the parallel stroies narrated by 'Shri Krishna' kept the thrill up!!! Great work buddy 4.5 stars out of 5. (View complete review)
