This book is a concise study of the fundamental principles relating to contracts of sale of goods and partnership. After examining the underlying principles, the details of the subject have been built up with the help of abundant case law and illustrations. The UN Conventions on Contracts for International Sale of Goods and Limitation Period in International Sale of Goods have been reproduced in the book to facilitate ready reference to any point relating to contracts for international sale of goods.

The book avoids legalese and adopts a reasonably simple language and style to make the subject intelligible to a non-specialist.

Professor Nilima Chandiramani has taught law at all the three law colleges in South Mumbai before joining the Department of Law, University of Mumbai. She has participated in innumerable national conferences and even presented papers in international conferences - LAWASIA (Beijing); UNCITRAL (Vienna); WIPO (Geneva); LAWASIA (Tokyo and Hiroshima); ICEF (Paestum); AFCC (Washington, D.C.). She has delivered lectures at universities and institutions in Europe and the Far East. Her name was recommended for biographical inclusion in the Eight Edition of the prestigious International Directory of Distinguished Leadership; and she has been nominated for the American Biographical Institute Awards. Her published works include several articles in national and international journals and periodicals and books on 'The Law of Contract : An Outline', 'Carriage of Goods by Sea and Multimodal Transport', 'The companies Act.: An Introduction' and 'World Trade Organisation and Globalisation : An Indian Overview'. Yet another book that she has just completed writing is 'A Guide to Customs Act, 1962'. Her next venture is a book on
'Negotiable Instruments Act: Basic Concepts'.
