Leave it to Psmith is a hilarious novel by P. G. Wodehouse, featuring the chivalrous Psmith.

    Summary of the Book

Ronald Psmith is always ready to help a woman in need. He becomes besotted with the beautiful Eve Halliday, going so far as to pretend to be Ralston McTodd, a poet. He believes that this will allow him into Blandings Castle to be closer to her. However, he doesn’t realize what he’s getting himself into! Criminals in the guise of poets plan to steal a diamond necklace, a secretary seems to have gone mad as she throws flowerpots through windows and a nighttime heist leads to a gunfight. Poor Psmith is in trouble yet again, and he’s the only one who can sort it out!

Wodehouse at the Peak of his Genius

This novel is so hilarious that it could openly challenge the mightiness of the Wooster and Jeeves' novels. Unlike a few Blandings novels where events move rather slowly, this one is more of a roller coaster ride. Psmith is a dynamite of a character!! Toss in Emsworth, Baxter, Beach and some of the castle's flowerpots..And you are ready to laugh your guts out..

The Golden World of Wodehouse never fails to impress!

While it is half a notch below the usual P.G. Wodehouse standard of gentleman fiction, it does impress you with some surprising twists and turns. The author impresses with his fine language and humour that can only be rivaled by P.G. Wodehouse himself. The storyline as such sets your mind in a cozy setting and gives the reader an 'everything-is-beautiful-in-this-world' feeling. I would suggest reading 'Something Fresh' as a precursor to this book as it gives a good layout of the World of Bla...

    Hilarious!

Stories set in Blandings are my favourite among Wodehouse's works and just like his other works, Leave it to Psmith is just outright hilarious. A must read for any Wodehouse fan, the book has its fair share of imposters and the ensuing scramble that are more or less a permanent fixture at Emsworth's residence.
