Lenco SCD-37 USB Boom Box

Excellent product well worth the money. Excellent build quality and sound output(don't expect it to shake your roof and awake your neighbour though as it is only 1 watt RMS).

The manual does not explain the controls in detail, so still struggling with it. I could not make it detect my sandisk 16GB pen drive. It however detected my 8GB and 2GB Kingston drives.

Warning though as ladies does not seem to like this kind of product(pun intended), as I've experienced :-).

We were looking for a small boom box for our kitchen. We have shortlisted the Lenco SCD-37 USB due to its lower price compared to others. Flipkart delivered the item within 3 working days in a neat & safe manner. We were surprised by the good features of this product like: well placed controls, ease of operation, reasonably good sound quality with 1W x 2 speakers & its compactness. It has a CD reader on top, which reads audio CDs. But what we wanted was to play out MP3 files stored in different folders from a USB stick, which it does like a cakewalk. You can change tracks or change folders with ease. It even has a aux-in jack, which we have not tested yet.

The only thing missing in this is a head phone / line out jack.

Overall a nice & cute stereo boom box fitting well typically in your kitchen

I ordered this product yesterday and the date estimated for delivery was 19th June. But I got it the very next day. This product is a VERY GOOD choice for those who want a portable music player for their kitchen, kids room or mandir (temple) at home. Excellent sound quality for such a piece of wonder. I wanted something like this for my small temple at home to play bhajans and chants for meditation. I just loved it. It can be a good gift too.. Its worth it!

Delivered in flat 2 days, the boom box has not only got adorable looks but also gives a good qaulity audio impact. The only thing missing was a remote control. Nonetheless, serves its purpose if its for personal use especially for the pooja room or want to turn on the FM while cooking your fav or not so fav dishes. Whatever......

The design does give you a feel as if its some small compact flying saucer. Whoever said gals are not much impressed with its design.....well, you just read my verdict. :)

Not sure whether you really want to go for this one......Don't think, just go for it!! It's worth it.... :)

Pros:
Sleek, compact (can fit in your cupboard), USB interface, runs on battery as well

Cons:
1) This player is good for playing from USB and from MP3 (data) CDs. In these two cases, it works fine. However, audio CDs seem to be problematic with frequent skipping. I've made sure that the CDs aren't the problem by 1) playing them on other devices and 2) playing MP3 data CDs. So if your input is mostly through USB, then this is quite good.

2) The user interface lacks a FF/RW, so it's track at a time. May not be a real problem, but worth knowing if this is required.
