I got this Lenovo Essential G505s six months back. Its the best configuration one can get in the sub 40k category. Now let me clear up one thing that this isn't a gaming laptop per say, but definitely a high performance workhorse machine. This is a very good VFM gaming laptop. Using Win 7, runs smooth as butter.

Good APU

Good Discrete GPU

Good Design. Sleek, black, looks like a proper gaming rig

Lightweight for a full-fledged gaming machine

GOOD cooling. Unless you're playing flash-based games or watching HD videos. Then it heats up pretty fast. I think it happens when the machine's integrated GPU is put under stress. Would recommend a cooling pad, preferably the Notepal L1.

The best you can get under 40k . Awesome boot speed bcoz of 8GB RAM (7.19 usable) with 64-bit . A driver CD for Win8 (64 bit) comes with the laptop . GDDR3 HDD with 1TB is enough for any gamer . For gaming (without internet appplications) the only best choice is this .

2 days ago I just bought this laptop from flipkart, no doubt about the delivery(delivered on time). The laptop is great,it is much slim than most of the laptop of it's kind . Its very good in speed in win7 the ram is 7.2 usable out of 8gb ,, battery is the major prob only 3.5 hours is the backup ,,but still as per g utility laptop this gaming laptop is a great deal... Hdd is gud and it hav high a gud amount of space of gamer about 988.33 gb is usable .. Gta4 nd far cry 3 is working pretty smoothly evenly better than macbook air i hav seen far cry 3 on my frends macbook that was less smoother than dis one.. This laptop is worth buying. If you are looking for a gaming laptop then pls buy this product or you regret. Its the next gen amd graphics ddr 5. Crysis 3 is running smoothly in 1366*768 resolution. You need not go for sony, hp or dell. It does not heat up like hp. WORTH BUY MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
