Lenovo Ideapad S400 (59-340453) Laptop (2nd Gen Ci3/ 2GB/ 500GB/ DOS/ 1GB Graph)  (13.86 inch, Silver Grey, 1.8 kg)

I purchased this laptop form Flipkart and have been using it for a month now. While writing the review, I would like to mention the following points:

Flipkart service: I purchased the laptop in Delhi and the shipment was delivered after four days. I had to make several phone calls to the courier as the status was showing "undelivered as the door was locked" for two days in the website while the courier never actually arrived. Anyway, I received it in one piece at the end.

I here by agree with all the positives and negatives as told by Mohammad Yusuf but one thing i like to mention is that before you buy this laptop directly upgrade it to a 4Gb RAM version for a additional cost of 2000 Rs,
Let me tell you it is really worth that extra cost and the speed problem goes away.
Also for home use please please don't install any Virus protection other than Microsoft Security Protection as its fast and free.....
Also about cost its reduced a bit so rush to the shop tod...

its sleek and weighs just 1.8kg,and fast enough to handle all your task no issues, boot time is also nearly 10-15 secs,purchased 5 days back i got RAM upgraded to 4GB for 1000 Rs extra,overall its a mustby at this price only issue with battery backup it gives me only 2 and half hours backup.

i have bought this laptop from the market at a higher price than mentioned here. At first i didnt believed it but i again enquired about its price in other shops too but the prices are even more higher than i bought. (all the configuration are same even the colour)
CONCLUSION : i'm regretting for not ordering it from flipkart

Awesome laptop with very good design and style...Those who need portability and style go for this.... Initial days got battery backup for a maximum of 2- 2.5 hrs...
Thanks for the former reviewer.. i also performed the battery gauge reset with the software provided by the lenovo... Amazingly it started by giving 4 hrs of backup...

Pros : God design and light weight
- Awesome keyboard and sound quality...
- Less heat emission..
- Good battery backup...
Cons :
- It is not a high performe...

hi i brought this laptop a month ago everything works fine with windows 7... with win8 there is problem with some drivers(AMD Graphics). i think lenovo has not build complete drivers for win8. it is gives battery back up upto 2.30 hrs and i strongly recommend to upgrade ram to 4gb .becoz it is too slow with 2gb ram. And i saw in the lenovo forums that it has an option to add ssd in msata slot i think by adding that it might boost the performance of laptop much better .Overall we need to ad...

Bought on flipkart, received 5 days after placing order, packing was very good and overall this laptop has not satisfied my requirements.

* less price
* free backpack

Cons
* Battery backup is very less(hardly 2hrs)
* Heat release is more
* no dvd reader/writer
* touch pad is less responsive and touch pad buttons are too hard
* driver softwares are not provided one has to download from the lenovo website
