Best cheap speakers for laptops, decent quality sound and comes in cute red! Thank you Lenovo and Flipkart :)

Pros:
1. Decent quality sound- quite loud at full volume, decent bass and treble reproduction.
2. Knob to control volume, half turned up knob plus 75% system volume is quite loud enough to fill a 2000 sq ft home :)
3. Red color looks very cute.
4. USB powered and compact enough to put on a small table.

Cons:
1. Bit fragile to carry around (in a bag), better keep it on a desk and not exactly portable (about the size of baseball on a stand)
2. No bass or treble controls.

Apart from the cons above which i dont think are exactly disadvantages, this is the best buy at this range.

The packaging and delivery from flipkart was exceptional of course... Actually had a little difficulty opening the package... but nicely insulated and packaged. The delivery time was unexpected. Gave the order on Friday night, and expected 3-4 working days, but to my utter surprise got it on Monday morning when I was expecting the same on Wednesday or Thursday...
The speakers are small, but don't expect them to fit in your laptop bag. A little larger - but not much than what the pictures suggest.
Now about the sound. It is exceptional when no settings are disturbed... Try additional bass and put on the SRS; then you will know that highs and lows are not its forte. Decent sound reproduction for its price, couldn't ask for more.
But had to keep the volume a little lower than maximum. No the sound doesn't crack at full volume; but when idle the two speakers made a very low creaking sound... That's a drawback; especially if you keep the speakers on throughout the night. But keeping at around 80% of full volume solves the problem.
The one thing which isn't mentioned in the technical specs; but is there in the lenovo handbook is the signal to noise ratio which is about 70; which makes it ideal for good sound reproduction. The sound is loud enough to fill a 1000 sq. ft. apartment without any problems...
This speaker is for you if you are looking for a portable compact laptop speakers; but not the perfect choice if you are into heavy metal, electronica & trance. It plays its decently, but feels like some bass is missing.
Overall, it is a great pair of speakers and especially at this price.

I wanted to buy a speaker which is low on cost but gives nice and crisp sound with a decent bass else my sister always shout on me to make her room shake with the huge bass ;P....I wanted a low cost speaker so that I shouldn't repent that I invested in some wrong product. I was a little bit confused between lenovo and logitech but finally i decided to go with lenovo as it looked cute and it matches my desktop color (total black - glossy finish).....My room is pretty large (1000 sq. ft. approx) but yaar this is just awsome...though the bass is not very large but still u'll experience a real good feel...sound is crisp and clear with a decent bass......but yea i would have preffered logitech as compared to lenovo had it been that logitech speakers (z110) were availble in black :( ...but still these are pretty nice man....

I had bought this product in its blue version from a big shop, in person. But then, I couldn't help noticing how much these resembled little batsignals (that's the greatest appeal it held for me). I really fancied that idea and I wanted very badly to have the black ones, so I found one of my friends to whom I could give the blues(!). Then I placed the order on Flipkart.
The speaker came in packed SOLIDLY. Speakers snugly packed up by Lenovo seamlessly packed up by Flipkart. Adorable.
As regards performance, these are good speakers. Loud, clear, - though the bass and treble controls are not here, but I don't expect that in such a pocket-friendly minisized product. The thumbs up must go to its build. The spherical shape is least vulnerable to knocks and bruises, and you can grab them and handle them safely, comfortably. The pedestal, being wide and circular, gives you 0% risk of toppling over. There is an annular foam membrane at the bottom of the pedestal which cushions the speakers.
Lightweight, small, efficient and safe, you should definitely buy this if your budget matches it's price.
