Review by Stephanie Lies about family!!!
I commend Judy for raising the child that God blessed her with. We all have challenges in our life and if you are a believer in God, you give those challenges to HIM and ask for his guidance. It is not my place to judge a persons relationship with the Lord, however, how can a person speak so cruelly about members of their family and still claim to have such a strong relationship with the Lord. In the Bible, Mark 11:25 states, "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." I feel that Judy needs to read the Bible again and work on forgiveness and hatred.
Sarah was Judy's aunt, which was a detail that was omitted. I know this because I am Sarah's granddaughter. I loved her very dearly and she was not the possessed witch that she was referred to in this book. She was a lady that loved the Lord and her family. She suffered from Alzheimer's in the last years of her life. She was not happy about a fence that was put up that blocked the access to get into her carport; who would be, considering that she had lived there for the past 55 year. Even after my mother and aunts spoke to Norman about my grandmother's condition, he would not budge on the matter and just cursed them out. My grandmother passed away in 2004 and I miss her dearly. I don't appreciate the awful things said about her.
I have to say that the house that Judy and Norman restored was my great-grandparents house. It was in bad shape when they gained it, considering it had been vacant for about 14 years. My family was the last family that lived in the home and it was very livable at that time (1984). My Mom and Dad were not drunkards and we did have running water and even a water meter, when we lived there. I really did not appreciate those comments. Another family member (John) had ownership of the house and stored his old restaurant stuff in it after we moved out and there is no telling who went into it for all those years.
I have to honestly say that I was very mad when I finished reading this book because there were so many things that were not true. True story this was not!!! Judy, I hope that it made you feel better after bad mouthing my family. I will pray for you!!
Chock Full of Lies! Review by JulieThis book is full of lies. This Judy Creel fails to mention that the nosy neighbor
"Sarah" was her 85 year old aunt that had alzheimers disease. She certainly didn't have to introduce herself since Judy knew her all her life. Also, she makes out like that house hadn't been lived in since 1935. My great-aunt lived in that house all my life and after she died, my cousin John lived in that house and probably in the 80's my aunt lived in that house. And I even know where the water meter was. Also, any Christian would NEVER say that God told them not to pray for someone. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. "Sarah" never rammed any fence with her car. No deputy had to hold her back and pull a gun on her. Her son was NOT convicted of murdering his wife. This is just a few of the lies in this book. This woman should be very very ashamed of herself and very careful when she speaks of God's vengeance. Her husband Norman made the last days of Sarah's life miserable. He was a mean old man that cussed Sarah's grandchildren when they were there visiting if they got too close to his fence. I know of one incident where he called her 11 year old grandson a motherf*****. That does NOT sound very Christian to me.
But unlike her, I will pray for her because it is obvious that she has serious problems.
The real truth Review by NormanMark Twain’s review is as phony as the name he is using. It is his report that is chock full of lies-not the book. I know because I was there and I never cussed anyone, not even Sarah's henchmen she hired to do her dirty work. The language he uses referring to someone’s mother is from his own filthy mouth and mind. Sarah was a very mean and bitter old woman that tried to use Mississippi's strange adverse possession law to take all of the property that fronted on the highway and was the only way I had to access the back 30 acres of my property. The property that was fenced was as shown on my survey and title. Sarah thought because she had driven across it she could claim it as her own. Sounds strange, but that is a part of the MS law that sometimes seems to reward people for trespassing on another person's property for a number of years. We tried to reason with her and told her she could continue to use that part of my drive, but I was not going to let her just take it. She refused and took me to court. She didn't win and as a last resort I fenced my property exactly where the survey and title said it should be. She resorted to doing what she did best and that was to get on the phone to everyone she knew to tell them how mean I was for putting up the fence. Her reputation as a gossip that does not let a little thing like the truth stand in the way of slandering people and twisting her story to make it sound like she is the good person. Sorry, but that is the way it is and those that know her is well aware of how she was. She called our precious son simple minded when he is actually very intelligent and that is what the book is about. It is not about Sarah and as bad as it was living next to her we did not want to take up time and pages of a good book talking about her. And by the way Mark, Sarah certainly does have a son named Steve in the federal Penitentiary serving time for kidnapping and killing his wife by chasing her as she was running, trying to get away from him and shooting her in the back of her head. If you have any doubts about that just ask the Jefferson Davis County, MS sheriff. If he has not died in the pen I am sure he is still there and will be for the rest of his life. Enough about Sarah. She caused us a lot of misery and several thousand dollars in legal fees to keep the property that was legally and rightfully ours and we bought it with our own money and was not going to let her or anyone else steal it from us. For those reading this please do not be swayed by the tales Sarah's family is saying in an attempt to make her sound like a saint. "Life with an Angel and a Fight with the Devil" is a very good book about a loving mother and wife raising and caring for her Savant son. Sarah's shenanigans covers a very small and somewhat insignificant part of a wonderful TRUE story.

The truth is in the book Review by One who knowsJulie was not there to see that 300 plus pound woman that Judy had not seen since she was about 10 years old roll out of her car and waddle up to the house and introduce herself as Sarah, Judy's aunt by marriage. Who would recognize a distant relative after such a long time and one who had changed so much over the years. Sarah’s son certainly is serving a life sentence in a federal pen for murdering his wife. Steve wrote Judy a letter when he heard we had bought his grandfather's house. I wish this Julie would have been there to show the water company workers where the water meter was because they could not find it, anyway the water from a deep well was better. This unenlightened person is just trying to strike out at a good book about a loving and caring mother raising her Asperger son. Her grandmother did do all the things that are in the book. If you read the book you will see that there is not that much about Sarah and her granddaughter certainly has one of her traits and that is to lie and slander a person’s name as far and wide as she can. Sarah had a lot of problems, but I don't believe a person with Alzheimer is as vindictive and aggressive as she was. I have never seen a young grandson of Sarah and certainly did curse ANYONE as she has accused me of. The book is an inspirational true story and covers the trials and adventures of raising a son that is on the high end of the autistic spectrum. He is very intelligent and gifted in many ways as Aspergers or Savants are. Judy was inspired by the movie "The Rain Man” Read the book yourself to see the truth and don't concentrate on that small and somewhat insignificant part about Sarah and the relatively short time we were in that house.
A VERY GOOD BOOK Review by JACKIEI THINK THE BOOK THAT LIFE WITH AN ANGEL AND A FIGHT WITH THE DEVIL WAS A VERY GOOD BOOK. TO THE ONES WHO DIDN’T THINK IT WAS HAS A PROBLEM. IF YOU ARE CONNECTED WITH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AN HIM ALONE WHEN YOU READ THIS BOOK YOU CAN UNDERSTAND IT VERY CLEARLY. YOU HAVE TO PUT JESUS FIRST AS YOU READ IT. I THINK SHE WAS TELLING EVERYONE WHAT YOU CAN DO, IF YOU HAVE AN AUTISTIC CHILD. SHE LETS YOU KNOW NEVER GIVE UP THROUGH THE GOOD TIMES AND THE BAD, FOR JESUS WILL HELP YOU TO OVERCOME ANYTHING IF YOU REALLY TRY AND LET HIM DO THE REST.SHE WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN LIVING WITH SOMEONE NOT AS FORTUNE AS YOU MAYBE, AND HOW HE HELPED HER TO OVERCOME THE BAD THINGS SHE FACED EACH DAY.MY ADVICE TO ANYONE WHO READS THIS BOOK IS DO NOT JUDGE ANYONE OF WHAT YOU WOULD DO UNTIL YOU HAVE WALKED IN THEIR SHOES. THEN YOU CAN JUDGE. MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU. JACKIE
Best book I have read in years Review by LarryThis book is definitely a must read for everyone. It gets to the heart and soul of best and the worst of US. In our trying times, this is a book that hits the everyday life of most everyone. The book is so very well written, down to earth, and will make one sit back and give thanks for everything He has given us. And will change our lives for the better. It is amazing what a person can do for others when they just set their mind and heart to do it and simply ask for free...guidance from Him. But with a small amount of inspiration and help from God, what wonders can be accomplished! I believe this book shows each of us there is a bit of all of us talked about in this heart wrenching, well written real life narrative. It is about the hardships and accomplishments in the life of a wonderful family trio of loving people. It certainly reminds us that we are not alone in our travels through this life. But it also lets us know that we can overcome our adversary. It shows how not to give up no matter what! And it makes one hang on to the phrase that is so true, "never say never"! This is one book that will be very hard to put down until finished and the thoughts will linger with one a long, long time.
There are so few books written like this one that one can read and identify with.............
