This is the first Blu Ray you should buy if you want to show off your HDTV. The picture is nothing less then short of stunning, and shot in Hi def and it shows. This is very good value for money, as it has 10 episodes of around 55 minutes each. See it with your family. The introduction will take your breath away. Don’t even compare the documentaries in this series to your normal TV viewing as this cadre is light years away from what you see in your normal channels. I have also bought another series by BBC Planet Earth (from Amazon USA) which is equally stunning. This would take around 6 weeks to arrive from USA and needs lots of patience. Flip Kart is doing a goob job by making it available in 3 days. The team has sometimes several day or even weeks to shoot a single scene. The narration by Richard Attenborough is with the right touch of humor. Music is outstanding and adds to the ambience rather then taking away from the main focus. After viewing one episode, I realized that we have not even skimmed the surface our beautiful planet. The story telling is done in a very matter of factly manner and never preachy or educative. After one episode ends, one relises that one has learnt so much without even being aware of it. Warning: The Blu ray is coded region A so it will not play if you have a Blu ray player bought in India. For newbies, Blu Ray releases are regulated according to regions. Most Hindi films are region free and will play on all players. But some like this one are region restricted and so playable only in region A players. India is region C. Happy viewing. Recommended.

After waiting so many months, finally this bluray is available on flipkart. And without wasting any time I ordered it and received it exactly the next day.

One very important information regarding this Bluray: Previously Flipkart was selling the "Region A" (US) version of this title, but now this is available as Region All (A,B,C) released officially by SAREGAMA in India.

Already I have seen the BBC’s Human Planet and Planet Earth - Complete Series, which is mind blowing. After I came to know about this series .. I have ordered the Life DVD without any delay. This is equally stunning starting from the first scene. Excellent photography and fantastic high definition shots. Good work by the camera crew! Both these titles have mind-blowing picture... they are captured in FullHD and are a treat for your eyes.. Watch nature like you've never seen before. Both titles have at least 3 discs with hours of content.

As expected, the Life series did not disappoint me. It contains very rare Life side of animal world which is beyond our imagination. Most of all the stories are not seen before. The visuals are breathtaking and unmatched. In totality it is superb and must see.
