The Lissergool Ghost

A local community in the west of Ireland have a strange and unpredictable presence in their midst. Is this the result of the "imaginative thinking" which comes from the history and climate of the area, or is it something more? The supernatural events center around an old thatched house abandoned years ago by an impoverished family. There are strange apparitions that appear in various guises, from an old witch with long curling toenails to a peculiar two-headed animal that whistles. Inexplicable events occur which amaze and terrify the local people who witness them. They name the feared occupant of the old house the "Lissergool Ghost." Those who come into contact with the ghost each get a chance to tell us their version of the story - some are puzzled, some have their personalities and behavior changed for ever, one lucky "victim" finds love. The ghost transmits an important message with each appearance and despite its rather alarming "novel ways," reveals itself, after all, to be a benevolent and intelligent force.
