WOW! I knew it was going to be good. I didn't know it would be this epic. This album is an instant classic for me. Been waiting for it a long time now and my patience has really been paid and HOW!. I've been listening to it on repeat for the last 5-6 hours and I'm so excited I can't type the full review so I'll just give a quick Marksheet type review.

This record is just awesome. Linkin park brought some traces form their old albums to get back to the old style. And they mixed it up with the heavy electric stuff and It just seemed awesome.

Living Things is according to me, the best linkin park album yet, and one of the best ever made. Linkin Park have truly evolved to something that mankind can really look up to, and have reached unfathomable heights of awesomeness. Take rock, hip-hop, rap, melody, alternative, mix them all together, sprinkle some electro, pop and death-metal, and add that chemical-X of Linkin Park - Voila! You have "Living Things". The very beauty of the album lies in the fact that you are hit in all directions by different types of music while listening to the album at a stretch. Beautiful! At the end of 36 minutes of this heavenly journey, all you are left is only the craving for MORE.
If I'm right, this is the first time that a linkin park release is being made available so early in India. Do buy this album to show how much you appreciate their music.

Ok so, I am a huge Linkin Park fan. I wanted to make that point before anything else.

First off, THE ALBUM
This is definitely an album you cannot hate. If you're looking for a rock record, look no further and download this. Linkin park, this time has made an album which has something for everyone and there is little or no experimentation this time around. The lyrics are powerful and non political this time around, and dare i say Poetic?

Chester has out done himself and his singing is top notch, the best i have ever come across. And a majority of songs have rap/sung verses from Mike Shinoda who too has sung brilliantly. Raw guitars and heavy bass can be heard clearly at times. And the music, from the first song to the very last, gets a vigorous hold at you. The continuity, which was there in A thousand suns is missing and you can jump to any track and enjoy it out.

However if you're looking for a A THOUSAND SUNS follow up, you're gonna be dissapointed. The sound may feel the same way but it is, in no way a follow up. That album was a piece of art which amazes you and maintains a certain theme througout. This time around, it is a compilation of 12 brilliant songs which are undoubtedly awesome, but it is not an album from that point of view.

However I would want you to take note of a different thing here.
The plastic cover in which the CD is kept feels very cheap and is brittle. I have both ATS and Living Things in Physical CDs and the difference is right in front of you. Infact i had to apply for replacement as the CD cover i had recieved was cracked and broken. The CD holder too was broken the disk was not held in place. I asked for replacement and the Good Flipcart gave me that without hassle. Infact they did not even take the initial CD back. But the cover still had a slight crack inside it. So keep that thing in mind. It can also be due to mishandling from the courier's side which is BLUEDART in my case.

This is a short to-the-point review of Linkin Park's latest album Living Things. I am going to write it song by song as I hear them.

Lost in the Echo: This is like the creativity of 100 musicians. This band moves me every time!
In my Remains: This band is never the same. They just get more awesome every time.
Burn it Down: Sounds new every time.
Lies Greed Misery: The funky, pop rock, electric pump up track makes you rock!
Castle of Glass: You'll think you have heard it because its the song you wanted to create!
Victimized: How the hell do they do that? Hard Rock it is!
Roads Untravelled: The beginning of this song will stun you and the rest will amaze you.
Skin to Bone: Cool, Funky, Hip yet Soul. Only LP could do it!
Until it Breaks: HipHop+Rock+Rap+Great Music overall = Linkin Park. This song rocks. Brad Delson has also sung in this one.
Tinfoil: Sounds from the past. Still Awesome
Powerless: Great track and the best end to one of the greatesums of all times.

Overall, I loved Living Things and recommend everyone to buy it. The songs in this single album can be found elsewhere as well only when you buy thousands of different cds of various artists and listen to them all. If you seek variety in Music, Living Things it is. Do not miss this!
