Logitech G27 Racing Wheel

It was tough decision to buy G27. I had to think thousand times before buying due to cost factor involved. But, as I have bought the wheel, I feel I made the perfect decision.
I normally play games like F1 2010, 2012 & dirt 3. After purchasing these games I realized that these games cannot be played in their true form either with a keyboard or a gamepad. So I eventually decided to go for a wheel. I came across many and found logitech wheels with force feedback are the finest in the market. G27 is basically made for simulator based games like F1 and Dirt etc. It's precise, feels great and makes driving a F1 car a breeze. I could do things I could have never imagined with a gamepad. When you play these games with a keyboard- you get 10% out of it, with a gamepad- you get 20% out of it, with G27-you get 100% out of it!!! I can play F1 with all the assists off(just like the way it's in real life) and can still finish in Top 6 in qualifying, which I couldn't even have imagined with a gamepad. Keyboard is virtually suicidal in such games! Driving has become life like. You get to feel every grass, gravel, kerb. The steering rattles and moves as if you are driving a real life car. It takes around a week or so to adjust oneself to the wheel, after which you will not even want to look at your gamepad!. One Just need to set the rotation degrees between 200 to 300 in F1 plus some minor settings in the game and one gets a great set up.
Now the question is whether Logitech Gt which comes at half the price of G27 is better choice or not? Yes and No. Yes, because it also has force feedback(though weaker than G27 due to single motor). No, because it doesn't have any pedal gear shifters the way real F1 cars have. This was the single most important factor that tilted my interest in favour of G27. GT wheel has button shifters instead, which though serve the purpose but are uncomfortable and unrealistic as per expert reviews. Moreover, GT doesn't have manual gear shifter knob if u want to play games like Dirt3. So, whether one should go for G27 instead? I would say, if you love playing racing games and enjoy them to the fullest, then wheel like G27 is made for you. But if you are a casual gamer and play games just once in a while for time pass then of course this beauty is not meant for you. It's not meant for uncles and aunties either. It's for people who are serious about games!!!

Pros:
1. Great force feedback
2. Precise and accurate
3. Smooth operations
4. Solid built quality
5. 900 Degrees real life car rotation.

Cons:

1. Pedals paltform slips easily while playing on floor. One needs a wall support!
2. None except, buttons on the wheels are bit less, instead they are on manual gear section which makes some f1 game operations little awkward but nevertheless it's an amazing wheel.

So, If you are in the serious category, then stop spending on stupid girlfriends and mobiles and start saving now to get this, because It's A Man Thing!!!

The wheel feels solid in your hands and it feels great to get feedback from the road, and the motors that give the FFB are quite powerful! I play Shift 2 and Dirt 3 that I bought on flipkart using this wheel.

The pedals are good but the brake and clutch pedals are a bit hard. Not for kids!

The gearshift is Okay, not as good as it was hyped to be, and there is no effect if you shift with or without the clutch, which kind of sucks.

I used to play with a Microsoft Sidewinder wheel before and this one is one huge leap!

All in all, its not as great as it is hyped about on the internet, but is is one really bad-ass wheel and you will not regret having this to play your racing games, that is for sure.

(btw, i bought it in bangalore in a PC shop, had to take the trouble to ride there and back... which was quite the pain in the neck)

The best Wheel Available in the Market.. I personally asked Adrian Sutil Force India F1 driver & he to has the same wheel at his place... I am using this wheel to play Dirt 2, Dirt 3, F1 2010, F1 2011, rFactor, GTR2 , Racing Inject etc..
I am so very happy with this product.. U just need proper wheel & game settings per game..
Also I think U will only get it on flipkart & tried it at so many places & I didnt find it anywhere in India... THank You Flipkart for making it available for people in India..

"Logitech" tag is good enough to show the product standard.
Its a Perfect Wheel for Sim Racing(LFS) as well as General Racing Games(TDU2, NFS, GT5).
Its available at a very affordable price on Flipkart, in comparison with the Official Logitech Site.

The Leather Grip on Steering and Gearbox feels very real.
The Gearbox feels a little lighter to shift, but its ok.
Pedals are very sturdy and have different resistance level for each one.

I am Currently Playing with Test Drive Unlimited 2 and Trust me, there is no better life you can get when you have the wheel with you and wants A Relaxing session.

Its a Perfect "CHICK REPELLANT"(For Geeks)....... U know What I mean... LOL........

I ordered the g27 when it was being offered at a 15% discount on flipkart, it was a steal. The wheel is almost perfect, one tiny flaw with the design though, the paddle shifters move with the wheel and makes using them awkward during hard turning. Since it doesn't have a sequential stick transmission, you'll have to do the H pattern if you want to go manual during rally racing. The clutch is recognized by GT5 and Dirt3 (I use it with PS3 and don't own any more driving games) which is great. Paddles are good enough and have a sweet metal finish.
