Researched a lot whether to buy an average 5.1 system or a premium 2.1.
In my mind i had the following sets to be considered. My budget being Rs 10000.

5.1 Creative T6160(6100 no longer available)-50w RMS-- Rs 4200

2.1 Harman Kardon Soundsticks 3- 65W RMS- Rs 9000

5.1 Logitech Z506- 75W RMS- Rs 6000

2.1 Logitech Z623- 200W RMS (THX Certified)- Rs 8500

2.1 Klipsch Pro Media-200W RMS (THX Certified)-Rs 13000

2.1 Creative Gigaworks T20- 28W RMS- Rs 7500

I was researching for high quality speakers for my laptop for 3-4 months before zeroing in on Logitech Z623 .. below are the options I was considering..

1) Audio Engine A5 (Bookshelf Speakers)
2) Creative T3
3) Logitech Z623
4) Altec Lansing MX6021

Rejected Audio Engine A5 as it was not available at the time when I was planning to buy, T3 costs twice as much as Z623 and as per online reviews, it wasn't really worth the money .. so I was left with Z623 & MX6021, MX6021 has separate tweeters ...

Well, if you are looking for the best audio experience at this price range (and even upto 14k), these are far superior than others.
Be it the clarity, the loudness, distortion free sound or the earth shattering powerfull bass, this THX certified speaker system will never let you down at any point.
It is suitable for all movies, music and games and RCA connections are also useful.

I am using it from 2 years.
"Logitech Z623" produces superb BASS and satellite speakers perform decent.
This speaker has "CLASS-D" amplifier, which means if you pump volume
more than 75% of FULL volume, then you will see some noise.
Sound definition is not great on satellites.
High freq. sounds (>1KHz) texture is on HARSH side.
IMO for METALLIC music needs SOFT speakers for long listening.
Overall I GOT GREAT SPEAKERS FOR THE MONEY I SPENT.

I've been using this speaker for over 6 months. I'm very satisfied with it's performance. Those who are considering to buy these should consider the following points:-

1) These speakers by default don't sound anything close to it's price tag, I connected to TataSky and it sounds like a speaker which would cost 2000/-, the same experience when connected to computer's onboard audio. The speakers only have a Volume control and Bass control, so there is no real fine tuning options in the speake...

With heart thumping bass & crystal clear clarity u can rest assured the audio quality. I definitely recommend to everyone looking for an excellent 2.1 speaker system. Overall, Its a quality product from Logitech.

Having researched almost all budget 2.1 systems i must say i am one happy customer after upgrade from creative SBS system . Hearing to this 200 w monstor is massage to body compared to my 22w previous system. Hear it .. nah Feel it to believe it.

For all the bass lovers, I received this product from Flipkart in completely awesome packing. The Bass line is huge. Connected this easily with RCA inputs of my 32" LED Sony Bravia and its giving my theatrical performance.

Place the woofer sidewise in front or back or your seating area. The other two speakers can be placed near the TV. And it goes so huge ! Incredibly deep bass and vocals are also crystal clear. So basically both Lows and Highs are awesome. Mids are decent.
