A Long Way Home

Captain Jonathan Stuart, who rode with Mosby's Rangers, returns home to his family in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, only to find his farm devastated. Lawlessness was out of control and land grabbing by Northern speculators was rampant. To make matters worse, he learned that an old adversary was in command of a Union Garrison stationed nearby. Fearing the vengeance of this man against his family and aware of destruction on every side, he makes the difficult decision to take his family west to Oregon. Along the way, he encounters many difficult and dangerous situations but his strong faith in God keeps him moving on.
