Love, simply said, is never as simple. We often to tend to find love in the most unexpected of places, and once we have it we may be confronted by the demons of our past that gnaw away at our souls, hence prompting us to get away. To be committed to another, one must come to terms with their past and have a peace of mind. Inspired by the short story The Last Leaf by O. Henry, Lootera is a drama-romance film that stars Ranveer Singh, Adil Hussain and Sonakshi Sinha. The plot follows a young and brilliant archaeologist who falls in love, mutually, with a village girl when on an excavation trip. But, the thoughts of his past prompt him to desert her; leaving the girl in agony. Will they meet each other again? Or, will they just have to live out their lives with a terrible emptiness?
