Lord of The Flies is a perfect example of a modern classic. It is a compelling story about a group of young and very ordinary small boys, who get deserted on a coral island.

    Summary

Lord of the Flies represents a perfect allegory for men. When a group of young English school boys get stranded on an uninhabited coral island when their plane crash lands on it. In the beginning, everyone cooperates with each other but soon things take an ugly turn into a nightmare of fear and death. At first, trying to be civilized the boys appoint a leader to guide them through and assign the daily chores to the boys. But things turn sour when there is major power struggle between the boys and the whole concept of perfect world collapses right in front of their eyes and they get to experience a world, which is primitive, brutal and cruel.

THE BEST VERSION OF THE NOVEL.

It is a perfectly constructed book made of best quality paper and great binding.
Even after reading it twice in all sorts of positions conceivable the books remains as good as new.

And speaking of the content, In short, one of the best dystopian novel in my poor opinion, not unworthy of comparison to novels like Robinson Crusoe and Gullivers Travels.

NB. For casual readers: I'd advise you to purchase it without any hesitation for the book is a fast-read and devoid of linguistic complications.

On the fragility of man's enterprises

One of the most celebrated books of our time and rightly so.
A fascinating insight into human nature and society shown through a small group of young boys.
Filled with intricate symbolism which demands being read multiple times to appreciate the depth.
Definitely not intended for light reading.

    A great read

A 'must read' book. Very interesting and an eye opener, especially the second half of the book. It shows how savagery rises from the ashes of civilization but ultimately returns to ashes.

Well packages book, though the price should be lower than this as it is a classic.

    A must read one...

This book is an adventure story about a plane crash that lands a group of British boys, all under the age of 13, to survive on a wild island that is located far away from civilization. However, this book goes far beyond the usual teenage adventure stories. Lord of the Flies depicts the fight between humanity and man’s savage instincts.
Set in an unspecified war period, a plane crashes, leaving a group of schoolboys stranded on a desert. Without any adults, they realize that to survive they ne...

    Good Read

What starts off as a picnic and dream situation without any parental care, corrupts young minds and soon they succumb to their natural instincts.
Book depicts human tendency to dominate and its predilection for violence. Golding has done a good job is showing how human mind breaks down in the absence of law and order.
