Lost River Inn: A Texas Ranger Venture

A prominent circuit court judge disappears while traveling on a special assignment into the central Texas hill country. Governor John Ireland charges the Texas Rangers with finding him. Captain Silas Parker reluctantly assigns the case to recent recruit Tom Peak, expecting him to discover that the Judge has adisappeareda on purpose and will turn up in the gold fields of Colorado or California. Peak takes his job seriously and soon discovers the shocking truth of Lost River Inn. Ranger Private Peak first appeared in the trail drive section of Pendencia Creek, where he had a violent confrontation with Wild Bill Hickok over the marshalas mistreatment of a beautiful prostitute and the love of Peakas life.
