Book Summary of The Lost Symbol (Robert Langdon, #3)
WHAT WAS LOST WILL BE FOUND nnWashington DC: Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned at the last minute to deliver an evening lecture in the Capitol Building. Within moments of his arrival, however, a disturbing object gruesomely encoded with five symbols is discovered at the epicentre of the Rotunda. It is, he recognises, an ancient invitation, meant to beckon its recipient towards a long-lost world of hidden esoteric wisdom.nnWhen Langdon s revered mentor, Peter Solomon philanthropist and prominent mason is brutally kidnapped, Langdon realizes that his only hope of saving his friend s life is to accept this mysterious summons and follow wherever it leads him.nnLangdon finds himself quickly swept behind the facade of America s most historic city into the unseen chambers, temples and tunnels which exist there. All that was familiar is transformed into a shadowy, clandestine world of an artfully concealed past in which Masonic secrets and never-before-seen revelations seem to be leading him to a single impossible and inconceivable truth.nnA brilliantly composed tapestry of veiled histories, arcane icons and enigmatic codes, The Lost Symbol is an intelligent, lightning-paced thriller that offers surprises at every turn. For, as Robert Langdon will discover, there is nothing more extraordinary or shocking than the secret which hides in plain sight

Lost Interest...!!
I wish the author had condensed the book to half it's length... it would have been much better. I don't normally read fiction but after Da Vinci Code (which was brilliant, btw), I wanted to give Dan Brown another go... sadly, he failed to live up to my expectations. Repetitive in style, substance and narration... this book might mark the end of the hype around Dan Brown.

A letdown!!
Was waiting for this book to come for a long down.. Even pre-ordered the book on Flipkart. Finally got the book on 16th.. The book was a let down. Most of the things are predictable. Dan Brown incorporates some stuff from his previous books. The ending was stretched and frankly speaking was quite bored at the end of it. Expected much more from one of my favorite authors. ANGELS AND DEMONS still remains my favorite DB novel.

mmm...okay
i got my book last night and finished it in one sitting... was pretty good, but below par as compared to angels and demons.
more importantly, flipKART is am amazing service.. my first online order ever and made it like a dream... just two days and bang it's on your doorstep..
no wonder they sell a book every minute..
i'm sure they will sell one every couple of seconds soon enough...
i was always skeptical about buying online... but flipKART has turned that around..
hope you guys add a used book buying column too where you could buy them from us users and then sell them back in a used book column??
FLIPkart's india answer to AMAZON and it's a very solid answer I say.

The Lost Dan Brown
Well, cmpleted the book today..
Beginning is good, thn it bcums better nd thn finally it turns sour..
Too mch irrelevant information filled in 500 odd pages. Could have done with lesser suspenses at end of every othr chapter just for the sake of it.
Better than his debut thriller but far behind the next three.
