Love, Me and Bullshit! (English) (Paperback) Price: Rs.80

Love, Me And Bullshit! is the simple story of the guy-next-door Romal, his aspirations, his anxieties, his love and finally his struggle through all of this to chase his dreams that are hazy even to him.

Summary Of The Book

Romal the protagonist of Love, Me And Bullshit! is a regular, small-town guy who like most his ilk aspires for the IIMs while working with a software company and simultaneously studying for the entrance exams. Eventually, he manages to crack the IIMs, starts his years as a student at the institute and takes off on a journey that is nothing unusual, yet one that is worth reading about.

Love, Me And Bullshit! appeals because it is the story of most students in India who will relate to the incidents in Romal’s life as he lives his struggles and his resulting philosophical but jovial attitude to life, sex and love.

The book also talks about Romal’s interactions with his family and how his life at the IIM changes when he meets Varsha. Romal likes her and he is smitten by her. Even as he answers the bigger questions life throws at him, he also starts handling the more delicate yet demanding sentiments that are attached to falling in love.

Finally, Romal graduates, goes through the gruelling routine of finding a job and then settling into it when he finds one. But this is not the end, there are few more questions to be answered: Will Romal manage to fit into the new office environment? Will Varsha come back to him?
Love, Me And Bullshit! does not have a new or unusual plot. Yet, it manages to strike a chord with the reader because it is a simple story of a journey told straight-from-the heart and seems real in most places. The book is a great blend of symbolic writing, coupled with some smooth narrative and enticing descriptions.

The reader will not find it hard to relate to Romal because he shows the omnipresent inner conflict in all humans. The fact that the book weaves in witty and clever humour into situations makes it more alluring and the reader will not get bored till the end even when it gets a little serious and philosophical.

All in all, a novel meant for light and easy-reading, Love, Me And Bullshit! is a contemporary as well as realistic take towards life through the eyes of the protagonist told with great conviction.

Not Another IIM story .. really..!!!

Not a regular IIM story .. that entails the hefty schedule and a peppy love story. Though the plot does'nt actually serves anything new, the author scored a maiden ton in his way of portrayal.

The sheer autobiographical journey narrated in a close-to-heart manner is real, raw and makes you confront your own self ....through a blend of smooth, allegorical writing with icing of a few imageries.

Though the plot is not alluring and will never make you bite your nails .. the book worth a read to relish the raw portrayal of the inner conflict of any human psyche. And, of course, a honest repres...

Sure, you will relate to the phase of life narrated through the eyes of the protagonist.

I think it is very authentic and semi-autobiographical story told fluidly. First 60 pages gives you enough laughs and witty humour and also struggle of IT guy wanting break into top tier management institute and rest is a MBA student??????s search of identity, elusive love and career.
Trainee Angel and Demon is highlight of the book. Second half is oscillates between dark and light emotions which will keep you hooked right till the end. Must read. It is contemporary story told me in very contemporary style. And lots of people will relate to this. This is author??????s first novel and he impresses very well.

Pleasure reading

Love, Me and Bullshit is a simple story of just another guy. And it's the simplicity of the story that makes it worthy of reading. The story is about a guy chasing his dreams without knowing exactly what he is after. It's humorous and you won't get bored till you reach the end when the author all of a sudden try to get philosophical and serious. But after enjoying the book for around ~200 pages I am ok to ignore that. His affair with Garima reminded me of days when we used to get numerous calls for credit cards. Stories of IIMA are amusing and all you can say is Men will be men no matter wh... ()

Stories of IIMA are amusing and all you can say is Men will be men no matter where they go and has been rightly portrayed in the book.
I would recommend to read this book. It's refreshing. For me, after reading Ramchandran Guha and Amitava Ghosh, this book was like a much needed break between two exam papers. And just like breaks the book was too short.

not so good

the books was not up to the mark.the story is not at all smooth and is frequently perturbed by the so called bullshit.a chetan bhagat fan would not prefer viveks style.the books drags on a simple plot of his life and depicts his life before and after getting into iim.bought this book with so much expectation and eagerness and dissappointed.
