In Love Stories # 1 to 14, Annie Zaidi explores the myriad aspects of love. The stories in this collection reflect the rise and fall of love with a mirror-like faithfulness. The author very beautifully and tangibly describes the needs and the eccentric desires of her characters. All the fourteen stories included in the book have some very interesting characters – a young girl watches her mother come to terms with her father’s sudden disappearance and reappearance. A middle-aged woman who is about to retire falls in love with the voice of a railway announcer. Love Stories #1 to 14 is a collection of stories about people preoccupied by romance, but with a completely different approach towards love.

About Annie Zaidi

Annie Zaidi is an Indian author and poet. She writes poetry, essays, fiction, and scripts for the stage and the screen. She is best-known as the author of Known Turf: Bantering with Bandits and Other True Tales. It is a collection of essays and was short-listed for the Vodafone Crossword Book Award. Her work has appeared in various collections, such as Mumbai Noir, Women Changing India, Pratilipi, The Little Magazine and Desilit. She currently based out of Mumbai.
