Love Story 1st Edition

This book even melts the most unromantic person into wanting to fall in love...beautifully and intelligently scripted...with every chapter ending gripping you...a must for any one in the age-group of 15 to 50...totally recommended ...a classic..

ABOUT THE STORY : Its plain average. Its funny at times and sentimental towards the end but it didn't really touch my heart. But I found the chemistry between the lovers to be good. If you want to read a really good and biographical love story, I heartly recommend 'Two States' by Chetan Bhagat. 'Two States' is intelligent, entertaining and stays with you longer than 'Love Story'. But it doesn't have the sentimental part which makes 'Love Story' stand out. I only say sentimental so I won't reveal the story. I have heard some good reviews about 'I too had a love story' by Ravinder Singh but haven't read it, so can't comment.
ABOUT THE BOOK: It has a very beautiful cover, the paper is comparatively thick, paper quality is good, letters are bigger than regular, but I think the binding may come off if you are careless and bend it while reading.
ABOUT FLIPKART: I have purchased before and they delivered at the exact time but this time a day late, but I didn't mind. The packaging was very good as usual. I will probably buy from flipkart again.

Love Story is one of those books which I can read again and again. Last time I read the book nearly 5-6 years back but somehow I lost my copy of Love Story. So just for the sake of adding it back to my collection I ordered this book. And I must say, reading it after so long was as wonderful as reading it for the first time. The love between Oliver and Jennifer is so pure and unpretentious that you can't resist falling in love with their love story. I didn't expect that I would still have tears in my eyes when Jenny dies (I mean had I not already read the whole scene before and cried over it!). But that's the magic of Erich Segal. Only one complaint - it ends too soon. I wish I could have more of Oliver and Jenny.
Its a masterpiece and if you are a romantic you just cannot miss this book. Go grab it.

This book is wonderful, Period. I must have finished it within 4 hours. This book had it all Fun, Love, Laughs, Tears. I enjoy all the books but few books make me feel like crying this one did and I almost obliged :). Unlike Oliver Barrett IV I didn't cry. But no one can deny that this is a magical story and book. Now it may seem like that we have seen this story many a times but remember this one was written way back in 1970 and since then many movies have copied this story. This is a moving and tragic love story and at around 180 pages not too long so every book lover should give it a try. You won't regret it. :)

This is a little mushy love story, yet is very lucid and classic. This is a prized possession in any book shelf. I have read it over 5 times and yet this is one love story I like reading. I definitely prescribe this to those who are in love, was in love or hopes to be in Love.
